Didn't you say that you want to have separable piece ? And what is the problem with white ? (I really don't know anything about that kind of creation D. )

They are going to be able to be placed over each other, kind of connecting together look at my Velvet and Calamity with the tails, like that but with glory's wing over Blackjack's back. The main reason for this is ease of making it and painting.

And for the white, one it's a bit hard to get to look good as white can show brush strokes and is easily darkened by a little bit of another colour. Also too much of one colour sometimes makes the model very blocky, for example look at my Pyrelight model when it was all one shade of green, and then look at it when i blended the greens.

you could also use the fact that white doesnt cover the base 100% to your adventage by making the shadowy areas 1 layer of white while making the back and places that are exposed to light out of multiple layers for a better white. that way you can get a bit of a shadow effect without even having to mix colours. im not sure if this will work for you though as i dont know how well your white paint covers dark areas.

Well I'm not sure with the painting, but I've got a few day's to ponder on the issue, I'm sure I will think of something, got some friend's wisdom and of course you lot (Who are all in fact incredibly helpful and awesome) who I can call upon if I get stuck.

To avoid brush strokes, water down your acrylics and use a softer brush, I takes longer to dry, but it's a smoother finish. Also wait for it to dry completely between layers (I suck at waiting)

Yeah, I need to look at getting some new brush's. The one's I've got are a bit rubbish. Going to look around for some better one's. Another way to hide the brush strokes is to use a wash at the end. Always found that helped. But yeah I always impatient, when it comes to pretty much everything. Really annoy's my friends hehe :)

A quick update for you all! Started working on Glory today as I had a hour or so free. Got the leg's done and one is draped over Blackjack. but looking at it I think I will need to reposition her head when I get round to doing glory's head. Will probably do that next before the wing.

I would post a picture of the two together in their loving (If headless) embrace but I just got the arm in the position I would like it to be in and I'm hoping it will set a bit before I do some work over the weekend. But some picture will be popping up soon. :)

NOOOOOO!

Disaster has struck!

Came home from work to find Blackjack in a pile on my table. Looks like she fell over sometime during the day while I was at work, I've got no idea what happpend as she survived 7-8 hours over night... I bet it was the cat /evil glare at cat. Or the headless Glory found out Blackjack tried to kill herself last chapter and went crazy...

. She is currently lying in piece's, I mean everything has fallen apart. The black leg's have bent, the heads come off, tail and fore legs as well. So the time I was going to spend on Glory this evening will have to be spent on somehow making Blackjack balance better, I'm thinking maybe a bigger tail with a stronger link to the body. Time to see what works!

I've taken a picture in case you all want to see the damage, if you do let me know and I will post for the lol's

that is terrible, i bet the cat is plotting against you because he is jealous at your ponies. or there might have been a very local minor earthquake which caused blackjack to fall over.
anyway, i hope you recover and maybe next time put it in a container so it wont fall.
good luck!
