I went to continue my game this evening, and @#$% Steam informs me it is updating and will be finished in 12 hours! WTF? I HATE the modern corporate stupidity that ties software into their servers permanently . I won't be leaving my computer on for 12 hours straight while their pathetic server spoon feeds me a trickle, so I'm wondering if that's it? Time to delete the stupid bucking thing and do something else? Sounds Good.

12 hour update to Fallout: New Vegas? What, thats mental. What's it doing, walking back and forth to Bethesda with a USB drive and useing that?

I've had a couple of problems with Steam in the past, didn't use it for like a year and a half as it wouldn't let me log in, so I lost all my games. Had to make a new account in the end. But it's gotten better, still crap at times but better. I must admit if I could I wouldn't have steam, but so many games need it now its getting a bit silly.

Steam is no doubt an anti-piracy measure, but, a 12 hour update a day after they announce they were hacked? F ing great.

I have no idea what update it could be. I didn't ask for it and the game was running fine. Some stupid automated crap. It's "only" a 2 gig update, but their server won't give me a fast connection.
It must be an Australian problem. I've gone to a US server and it's a lot faster. STUPID STUPID Steam.

God, sounds like when I first got Steam. Back then it was shit, dropping my connection every other day, breaking my online games for a week after each update.

Now I don't even notice at all, which is good.
