I've got another question :P

The ponies of Stable 8 are trying to build an army. The best I can come up with is that they are getting control of groups of raiders with a highly addictive drug they manufacture in the Stable. Does anyone think that would work?

The bastards in my stable just converted their own "unneeded" ponies.

One of the side effects of the genetic modification is a low birth-rate. They prefer to send out small teams out the wastes – I think there are maybe about 40 at most outside – for fear that simply being around those inferior ponies might somehow corrupt them.

Depending on how long they have to work; I would go with a mixture of addicts, mercenaries and slave soldiers for sort term recruitment. For a longer prep time army training their own troops from wastelanders in exchange for shelter and provisions. If they have generations for preparation you might want to have them kidnap foals for mutation or indoctrination.

Robots and trained beasts also make interesting additions to a army (Unleash the radhogs of war). If you can't get them enough troops/thrall to meat your combat needs chemical and biological weapons work wonders (hives of parasprites, barrels of radioactive waste and corpses all make excellent siege projectiles).

They don’t care about their little ‘army’, they see them as no more than savages good enough only as cannon fodder.

I didn’t think about robots though, I can imagine them having teams scavenging for them.

One last question for now: I haven’t caught up to FoE yet, and I need to know if anything has come up about these ‘Ministry of Awesome black-ops missions’ SteelHooves was so certain of. I checked the wiki, but there’s not much about the ministry.

I hope to finish the plan and first chapter in a few days. Yay. Thanks for your help :)

I don't think it has been much mentioned in canon Fo:E, but I think Project Horizon touches on it a little. In general, very little is mentioned about Dash xD

I would still advise having them pick up a few Talons, Shrikes, Zodiacs or some other elite mercenaries to backup and maintain order among the dregs without risking the actual Stable dwellers. Think the Dominion for DS9; Founders as the masters and elite agents, Jem-hadar as cannon fodder, and Vorta as the Founder's face in dangerous regions.

We do know that they have at least some clandestine operations as they were the ones who organized Zecora's infiltration of zebra lands. Their ministry hub was essentially the warehouse form the end of the first Indiana Jones movie with defensive systems that put the Equestrian military to shame. And finally, since the steel rangers are the remnants of the equestrian military I would put some weight behind their allegations (Especially since Steelhooves dismissed the thought of Littlepip being an agent, not the concept of MaW agents in general).
I personally have them engaging in sabotage, theft(hijacking coal shipments and the like) and assassinations behind zebra lines.

I do know I'm planing on having some black ops stuff in mine, but mine will be with the MoM. I call them the "Ghosties".

I see MaW as the CIA (messing with other nations) and MoM more as the NSA of FBI (internal operations), but that's just me.
