Fallout Equestria PnP games on roll20?
Does anyone have any experience playing or hosting Fo:E game sessions on roll20? I'd like to know if it would be worth trying.

Re: Fallout Equestria PnP games on roll20?
I gm exclusively on roll20, i've completed one campaign and am running two at the moment.
It works very well, especially since a lot of the math can be done by relatively easy to write macros. However, finding post apocalyptic assets can be tough, at least free ones. The marketplace has some pretty neat assets, but be sure to browse plenty when looking for them. Some are 15 map tiles for 6 dollars...some are 100 or more for the same price.
If you'd like i can write up and pm you a bit of a guide to roll20 macros for this system.

I'm pretty much exclusively here to try and contribute content or technical support for the PnPrpg. Message me if there's anything you need which you think i can provide.

Roll20 is great, if the GM goes the extra mile and uses all the features they can. Character profiles, character "voice" selection, along with the possiblity of other written notes, plus explicitly designed board-style environments. It's a very good medium. However, if the GM doesn't use the features, or uses them incorrectly, it can be very clunky and detract from the experience.
EDIT: there are also some free to use roll20 assets for the FoE PNP stickied in this forum section, here.

It works quite well, provided (as already said) the GM knows their way around the tools. That's why I'm currently trying to set up a campaign with two GMs. One for the technical stuff on roll20 (me) and a story teller.

I normally use regular chats to DM games, but I've tried Roll20 and I can safely say that it is a great way to DM games, especially if you like preparing maps.

I totally agree with Heartfirepony, Though I don't have any personal experience playing or hosting Fo: E game sessions on roll20. Roll20 is great, if the GM goes the extra mile and uses all the features they can and it really works quite well. One must try this out for once before playing or hosting Fo:E game sessions.
