If we can pick already, I'd love to be the musician earth pony. Make the world dance and lift spirits high!

You can be whatever you want. The list I posted earlier was just a guideline, doesn't have to be followed in the slightest. A suggestion, more or less.

What rules are we going to use? How is it going to work?
Are we going just pitch character concepts for now? Is there any prediction for when we will start?
Spoiler: show
How can a pony change the material their body is made of? Is that a spell, a potion or is it something like possession, happening after death? Why does it happen?
Is the system going to be based on SPECIAL? If it is, how is it going to work for the pre-war ponies? Are they going to have weapon skills or are they going to be more like the FiM ponies? How musical and artistic skills are going to work? How the "pink-pony" magic is going to work?
Are the ponies of each age forming teams or are they going to work separately? After all, we have some sets with very incompatible concepts. Why do you suggest these different and specific backgrounds and specializations? Is it some set of traits or skills necessary for each age? Is there some general idea or objective we should keep in mind while creating characters for each of the ages?

I'm looking for a suitable set or rules right now.
Spoiler: show
Well, they won't necessarily have normal (biological) bodies after 'death'...
They'll be... dolls, essentially. Like animated porcelain dolls. In another realm. Tartarus.
More like FiM ponies.
SPECIAL is kind of a must, but SPECIAL stats will factor into skills differently.
Earth pony magic will be based on END and CHA. It will mostly be stuff like being able to summon up... background music, and stuff like that. And playing instruments that absolutely would not work with hooves. How do these hooves even work?
Musical/Artistic skills will work in... a JRPG fashion, if that makes any sense.
They will be in teams of three. The whole party will be together occasionally, but for the most part the idea is that they go about their journey in threes.
The objective behind my suggestions was to have a good mix of ideologies, skill-sets, and experiences. There are no skills necessary, but the capabilities of each character will determine the design of the challenges they will be met with.

I really like the concept and idea. This would only be my second PnP RP game, but count me interested, if you want to have me.

That concept of story is extremely interesting. If you'll still have free slots then I'd like to join ^^

I'm interested on joining this group, however... I do have a few questions...

How many sessions per week ? And at which time?

Also, I have never played on any other PnP group, so I'll need a bit of help with character creation and some pointers... is that an issue? If not, I'll gladly join.

Okay. I've made myself a deadline: the system will be chosen by Friday, this week. Before the point, assuming everything goes well, I'll be ready to announce when we'll be getting together for the first session (which will consist primarily of actually making the characters, as this is intended to be more of a group-think... group). That may be this Saturday. Of course, the unthinkable might happen and I could end up having to spend that entire day doing work that I thought I'd already done but hadn't and...

One session per week. Haven't figured out the time yet. Will be sure on Friday. We'll be creating the characters live, as part of the first session.
