Re: [Non-FoE] The Trotting Dead [Fate Core]
Okay, I have the first story for Cambiance (whose name is a corruption of the music term cambiare, which means to change). I apologize if I didn't make it open-ended enough, or have enough conflict. I did try to put in a few leads if someone needs to expand on it.
Cambiance was worried. Almost worried enough to skip out on her DJ gig tonight.
Finals were almost upon her in school, a fact that weighed heavily upon her shoulders. Caluclus, physics, literature… She had a few gnarly tests to look forward to, and she wouldn’t accept less than the best from herself. They weren’t so bad as to stop her from working though. So she told herself at least.
Her inner voice might be a bit biased on that subject tough. Tonight was a special night. It would be the first night she would perform as the main, prime-time act at her club. Before this, she had gotten the equivalent of graveyard shifts, awkward times and days when hardly anypony was at the club. But not tonight. Now was her time to shine.
Cambiance almost trembled with anticipation as she entered her club. If performing over a small, barely there crowd was so exhilarating as it had been in the past… she couldn’t imagine the catharsis performing over a large crowd would bring. Now she was certain. Finals were future Cambiance’s problem… and her performance was soon-to-be-present Cambiance’s pleasure.
Besides, she needed this. With all the stress of school right now, she needed some kind of stress relief. And this would be amazing…
Cambiance’s worries were almost gone as she started to prepare for her performance. The club was nearly open, which meant she was almost on. The music, the ponies, the noise… it would all be arriving soon.
With a small thrill of anticipation, Cambiance began her final preparation. She calmly popped open her hair gel, grabbed a glob of it with her magic, and started to spike her short mane.
As she felt the cool gel seep into her scalp, the last vestiges of her concern melted away. She was ready. As she walked to her decks, her ears were assaulted by the glorious din of the crowd. It sounded like a rowdy one tonight. Perfect.
And the aspect I'm drawing from this story is "Dichotomy of Self," which refers to the sort of split sides that Cambiance has to help keep herself in balance. She has her hard-working student side and her partying DJ side. Combined, these two sides lead to a happy life, as she's able to keep herself unstressed and on track to a successful life. However, when Cambiance is restricted from indulging in one of her sides... Her balance is disrupted, and someone becomes a somewhat unstable pony. I hope the story and aspect make sense, and pardon me if it doesn't, or I'm doing something wrong or whatever. Hehe.

Hey, that was cool to read! Could we get a visual of her?

Ah yes, pardon. Knew I was forgetting something :p. (Also, I only have words to discribe her, as I a have almost less than zero artistic ability). Her coat color is light gray (like, a bit darker than Octavia, for reference), and she has a short, straight pink mane that she normally wears down, except when she is acting as a DJ, in which case she spikes it. Cutie mark is an integration symbol, followed by three straight lines, and then a backwards integration symbol (I'll ms paint something real quick to post.)
Edit: Here's the general idea. http://imgur.com/FpLj3K4. Not as regular as I would want obviously, given the lack of tools in paint, but it's good enough. The concept is that it's sort of like a visual pun. The integration symbol is very similar to the holes on the side of a violin, hinting at music, but it's also a very strong math image, hinting at, well, math.

Oh, cool! I like it. You ought to look up Pony Creator to help with visual representations. That's what I used for the image I posted at the bottom of page 3.

Right. That's a thing. Totally forgot about it. Haha. I'll definitely get on that.
Edit: Here's the picture. http://i.imgur.com/dORNdfB.png?1. Cutie mark is not present, as the integration symbols I pulled online for the cutie mark had an off white color around them. So paint bucket in paint didn't work, meaning the cutie mark had a white background against a gray pony.

If that happens, try using the magic tool in paint.NET, selecting the gray-white color (and adjusting the tolerance of the magic tool as needed), and hitting delete. That'll select and remove the gray-white background layer, leaving transparency behind it, and making it suitable for use in Pony Creator. Just make sure you export as a PNG; JPGs don't maintain opacity levels!

I know the jpg vs. png stuff. And I was thinking of getting an actual image software tool (and I probably will tomorrow), but I was feeling pretty lazy tonight :p. Haha. Not to mention I was/am finishing up a bit of schoolwork.

Cambiance (I used GIMP)
I liked the story. My question is how do you intend to use this aspect in game. In which situations getting a bonus or earning a fate point from it?

Re: [Non-FoE] The Trotting Dead [Fate Core]
Well, for earning fate points, I was planning to have the aspect compromise Cambiance's long-term decision making when she hasn't indulged her wild side enough. Like deciding maybe to fight zombies instead of avoiding them, or deciding to get involved with a bad crowd if it seems entertaining enough, and she's bored enough. Bonus wise, I was thinking sort of the opposite. Indulging either her wild or her student side, by having fun and excitement or by getting positive, tangible results in something(as all good students love to see good results) respectively, would help her with her long-term decision making.
Basically, if she's being very tangibly productive, or has the opportunity to de-stress, she makes good, well-thought out decisions. If she's not, she seeks the easiest method to fulfill one of those conditions, which would tend to be decisions that are not well thought out, but lead to entertaining and stimulating (if dangerous) results.
I do apologize if it doesn't quite work out, or sounds too ambiguous or whatever. I am of course open to change and such.

Re: [Non-FoE] The Trotting Dead [Fate Core]
Hmm... this has potential, but it's a bit too widespread. Being either productive or having fun can apply to a lot of situations. I think you could split this into multiple aspects, since it's about two sides of her.
