Alright, I'm going to commandeer part of this thread as I said I would, since it's all just us anyways.
Destiny Group is officially ended. Thank you all for playing when you were actually having fun, and I'm sorry for wasting your time otherwise.

220 Years ago, a Great War had swept across the land. Cruelty and terror were thick in the air, and annihilation of the world seemed the only possible outcome. It was only by the direct hoof of Fate that we were spared this outcome.
It took decades for the land and hearts to mend, but mend they did, and ponies and zebra alike came to realize what their war had nearly cost. With minds finally at ease, we turned our attention for the betterment of all life, and exploration. Exploration not just of our world, but of worlds beyond.

To this end, the five of you have been hoof-picked along with other academy graduates to join the crew of the pride of Equestrian magi-tech. Her Majesty Luna’s Vessel, “Destiny”.

<> Welcome aboard! This game will be taking place in an alternate future, where the war with the Zebra ended in victory, rather than the creation of the Wasteland. You’re going to be on a space ship, heading into the dark depths of space, and who knows what you’ll find!

<> The major turning point of this universe was Fluttershy giving balefire bombs to the zebra. Rather than bringing them to Roam, the zebra thought it safest to hide and research the technology right under pony noses, at the neutral city of Las Pegasus. No one is sure how it happened, be it sabotage, or a simple lab accident, but the balefire bomb they were developing exploded. Seeing the devastation wrought by her actions, Fluttershy immediately quit her position as Ministry Mare, taking over 3/4 of the Equestrian medical corps with her to focus on helping the survivors. The other Ministry Mares followed quickly. With the Equestrian military still in a seemingly strong, but incredibly fragile position, Luna was able to negotiate the end of the war by stepping down as sole ruler, and returning Celestia to power.

<> Races: Available races will be Earth Pony, Pegasus, Unicorn, Griffin, Zebra, Buffalo, Changeling, Ghoul, and Alicorn.

Ponies, Griffin, and Buffalo have nothing of note to add due to the setting.
Zebra and Changeling serve as welcome additions to the crew, most ponies can see past your differences (though occasionally you may find some still cling to outdated prejudice), and you should be able to live out a happy, productive life.
Ghoul characters (requires Ghoul starting trait) were victims of the Balefire detonation at Las Pegasus. Rather than the typical Wasteland ghoul, you resemble more of a Frankenstein pony, due to skin grafts and advances in magical healing theory, they also managed to get rid of the smell! You also still gain +1 LUK, however you also still require radiation to live.

There was no “Unity” in this timeline, however, ‘natural’ alicorns still exist. A natural alicorn may choose its bace race component, gaining full access to that race’s starting abilities and perks, which only minor benefits from the other races. A natural alicorn is allowed to pick their traits, but is allowed only a single tagged skill.

<> Skills: We will be going with the removed flight/magic/alch and big guns, and using the battle saddle rules.

<> Starting Equipment: Each character will start with 300 credits for equipment (directly equivalent to caps), an Equestrian Star Command Uniform (ugly tan sweater with optional skirt, DT 2, weight 2), and a PipBuck-Lite (functions: light, radio and short range communications, tag locator, and cartography module).
