The Mare Who Came in From the Cold: A DLC Campaign(G13)

The Mare Who Came in from the Cold

Welcome, to the woooorld of tomorrow! None of that foalish 'Magical Land of Equestria' nonsense! Yes, imagine what life would be like today if the brave soldiers of the Royal Guard hadn't caught those skulking Zebra traitors placing their deadly bomb beneath the streets of Canterlot! Or imagine if, Princesses forgive it, the shield had collapsed and exposed us all to the deadly megaspells that rained down upon the rest of Equestria! This is a time of progress, innovation, slowly the Government is reclaiming the so-called 'Wastelands' from their violent inhabitants and bringing law back to the country.

You might ask, 'Where do I fit into all of this?' Well let me tell you....

Story
Somepony, right at the top of the Ministries, is recruiting the best (naturally) ponies they can find for what is certain to be an extremely dangerous mission. That somepony, is a branch of the Ministry of Morale that deals with 'external' affairs known colloquially as The Circus.... because that's how MoM ponies do things name wise. They're concerned. Rumors, lies the Equestria Daily prints in editorials the MoM plants, have become especially widespread of late about something only known as The Gardens of Equestria. A mythic device, legend has, that will reverse the effects of the war throughout Equestria.... Surely an old mare's tail, I mean, we all know what balefire did to the very fabric of Equestrian reality!

Except. What if, hypothetically now, there was some very slim evidence that somepony out.... there was up to something? Lonesome Sprite Bots, no longer under government control, wandering the wastes spreading treason messages. Sightings of a massive dragon in the distant mountain ranges. Account books that reveal suspicious irregularities about Crusader Maneframe construction and shipping if you look at them right. Probably nothing. But The Circus doesn't deal in probablies. We don't want to start a panic though. That's why we've come to you. You're what we're looking for; bright, capable, versatile, flexible in thinking enough to work with us and other ponies you might object to. This is a vital mission, for the continued safety of Ca- Equestria.

I doubt I need to show you the Royal Sisters' Seal, on this request?

Factions/Races
Anarchists: For some reason, you've decided to answer the notices that've been appearing in all the local gin joints and whorehouses. Somepony in the Upper City needs ponies. And they're willing to pay. A lot. Some folk are willing to sell out for that many caps. Some want to get inside the Princesses' citadel for their own reasons. And someponies? Someponies just want to watch Equestria burn....

Characters types; Arms dealers, criminals, rogue stable dwellers, anarchists of all flavors, Ministry plants, holy mares, tribals, gangers, raiders, wasters!

Royalists: You're a loyal soldier of Equestria, putting in your time defending what remains of law and order in this hell that is the Antebellum era. Or maybe you're a stable dweller, fresh from being rescued by the noble Steel Rangers famed throughout the wastes for their brave deeds in defending the innocent while punishing the wicked. Maybe you're a Ranger, or a shadowy Enclave, an Ministry of Morale watcher, or an Ministry of Arcane Science egghead. Either way, you've volunteered or been picked for a very special assignment....

Character types; Scientists, MAS arcanists, MoP medics, MoI bureaucrats, MoM spies/assassins, REA soldiers, Steel Rangers (limited), loyal stable dweller, Enclave of all stripes!

Sign-up/Equipment/Starting caps
Put up an interest check/character concept below if.... you're interested. That simple.

Royalists will start with a basic load of equipment. Nothing too fancy, but what you'd expect to have access to at your character's grade/position. Run it past me in PM to confirm. Anarchists will stick to a 300 cap limit for selecting their kit. Either side might get special equipment before they set out into the wastes, as The Circus wills it.
