Advanced Digital PnP Character Sheet
!!!THIS SHEET IS OBSOLETE! PLEASE USE THIS ONE: LINK!!!
Hello everyone,
with time I got a bit annoyed, by how visually confusing most PnP character sheets are for beginners. Don't get me wrong, they work perfectly fine in a sense of doing most things automatically, but sometimes they are just really hard to get used to.
So I took TenMihara's Fallout: Equestria - Advanced PnP Character Sheet and made a visual overhaul.
Features:
- a better color scheme for easier visual identification
- tables with variable cell size don't distort other tables
- optimized for 4:3 monitors, with a preferable resolution of 1280x1024 minimum
- unneeded cells deleted for better performance
- cells for current HP, limb HP and Strain are automatically calculated from the maximum value, you only need to subtract the damage / spell costs
- cell fonts for HP, limb HP and Strain will go red, if under a certain threshold
- some conditional formatting in some other places
- automatic data validation for SPECIAL base values
Formulas:
- automatic calculation of current level and XP needed to next level depending on current XP
- automatic naming of radiation poisoning degree
Multi-Page Sheet
All-In-One Sheet
Explanations:
Cells with black background and white, bold font are table names.
Cells with dark grey background and black, bold font are table headers of first order.
Cells with dark grey background and black font are table headers of second order.
Cells with medium grey background and green font are automatically calculated. You should not change these!
Cells with light grey background and blue font are calculated from a maximum value. You only need to subtract any damage or spell cost.
Cells with light grey background, that are empty are for you to put stuff in.
Tables with alternating light and medium grey background are variable cell size tables. Those won't distort any other tables, when you put a lot of text in.
I am open for any suggestions and will try to fix any bug you might find.
I will probably update the thing with some additional features in the future.
And if enough people like it, I will probably make a single tab version for GMs to add into their overview spreadsheets.

Re: FoE: Advanced PnP Character Sheet Template Visual Overha
The biggest thing my sheet had going for it was that there was a minimal need to scroll down on any given page. Everything was right where you could see it right away.
In your case, I feel you might have overused the darker cell backgrounds, and find much of your version difficult to look at. Particularly next to the white space, which seems to have just been moved around rather than eliminated.
If it works for you, by all means. However, the sheet as I made it was designed to be simple and straight forward, with a minimum of eye strain, and the thought that most people would use abbreviations that suit them in cells that would require a lot of details, consulting the source material when expansion was needed, rather than trying to cram every word of an item or spell's description into a single cell.
P.S: Calling sheets that other people put just as much time and effort into making as you did creating your variation 'clusterfucks' isn't necessary. If you don't like it, just don't use it.

colour coordination TenMihara's sheet had little (so i added it myself) and yours has less (and i cant see everything from just a glance. i need to actively search when using your one) all in all this is less of an overhaul and more of a re skin.

Ok I got to apologize to you TenMihara, "clusterfuck" was pretty bad choice of words. It was pretty late when I wrote that. Sorry about that.
And as I said, I am glad for any critique you can give me and I will try to implement any suggestions. Of course your sheet is a lot more comfortable, if you use abbreviations.
But I felt my version a lot more comfortable, especially for beginners like myself, where I have everything in on sheet and don't have to juggle around with multiple ones.
I will try and think of another, better color scheme and see, if I can make some improvements there.

It'd be great if I could save a copy of the sheet...

Well, you can. Just go to File->Make a Copy...
I also increased the contrast a bit, so the main table headers should be easier to see now.
The next thing I am probably going to do is trying to group the stats on the main tab in a better fashion.

It is not much, but I just got back to it and added a little formula, that always rounds the AP up in steps of 5.

Okay, that I would LOVE to have on my version of the sheet. What's the formula?f1r3w4rr10r wrote:It is not much, but I just got back to it and added a little formula, that always rounds the AP up in steps of 5.

The way you do it is actually pretty simple. You take the AP value you get from the normal formula and divide it by 5. Then round it up and multiply it by 5. That's it. Simple math. >.<
