Due to someone deciding to send Bones to channels it doesn't belong, like #EquestriaDaily, I am now banned in those channels... thanks
So, the join command will most likely be removed and GMs are just going to have to go back to asking me to add it to channels manually if they want to use it. Of course this doesn't help if I'm not at my computer, but oh well. Trust was given and broken, hurts the GMs more then it hurts me
I'll be removing the feature later today or tomorrow

I might be able to create a whitelist of people authorized to use the join command, including GM's, will look at it tonight.

Is there any way to set up a blacklist of channels Bones will refuse to join?

A blacklist might take too long, be too big and too complicated to maintain. Because you would have to update it on every new channel. Whitelists for users and channels are more suitable here. If it is even possible to make those at all.

A channel whitelist would be more troublesome than a channel blacklist. AFAIK it's only certain channels we're worried about keeping Bones out of. But most new PNP groups these days are making their own channels instead of using the generic PNP/dice channels, so a whitelist would have to be updated constantly.
I'm not saying a channel blacklist is the best option. I was just wondering if it was possible, and if so, how good of an option it might be.

hi hi
There are currently 294 channels active on canternet.org. Each one has its own rules and moderators. Fallout Equestria makes up .04% of those channels. There are also 1.39e+89 possible channels that can be created at a moments notice, also with their own rules and moderators.
Keeping a functional blacklist would be extremely difficult.

Well conceivable, The black list wouldn't need to be that large unless he's worried about eventually wanting to join each of those channels. The issue here seemed to be he got banned from some of the important channels. So just set up the official important channels as blacklisted. I mean unless he really cares if he gets banned from say #Larrychat2 or something.

hi hi
The principle of not being a jerk to strangers aside, how do you know which channels are important until you try? What is unimportant to someone now, might become important in the future, unless you plan on never making new friends or trying anything new.

I was just saying the blacklist need not cover every possible contingency.
