The forums IRC isn't working. If I can't connect by the time the game is supposed to start I apologize in advance for not being able to be there.

Alternate options:

Stand-alone client (recommended) - mIRC on Windows, Xchat Aqua on mac.
Composite chat client - Trillian Astra supports IRC; other multi-protocol IM clients probably do as well.
Plugin client - Use Firefox? Get the ChatZilla extension.
Universal web client - Mibbit is pretty popular.

If you have any trouble with the IRC on the site, I just installed a new one that is much more stable and user friendly. Just select "lightIRC".
