Ok, this is one of my favorite chapters so far. It has managed to tie up a few story lines nicely and move on to what I assume will be the final chapters. Everyone was perfect here, Littlepip making some very tough choices, Velvet making Velvet-y choices, Regina growing as a character, and Calamity having to go against his own brother.

Only one line in the whole story bothered me, “Her head slumped in defeat.”. The change from first person to third person seemed jarring. But, in a massive chapter such as this, a single line is not even a concern. You have out done yourself again Kkat, I look forward to the next chapter.

I think the cornerstone was ordinary rock - what was left, once the metal had been extracted.

It's very ominous for what poor Littlepip will become. We already know she's at least a stage two for Alicorn development. But what else will she be? A permanent weather control processor?

Up there yes. Down on the ground, population "control" would imply a lot of breeding. Where else would all those raiders come from. There is an interesting line in New Vegas where a guy is asked why he joined the army, and he replied it was that or join the Fiends! He chose the army because they had the better guns.

I was surprised Littlepip didn't realize Red Eye new she was in the room all along. One of his first comments gave it away. And that password should have been a pretty big clue.

She was damned if she did, and damned if she didn't, so she went with what logic said was the right choice.

She had a few typos this time. "saint" instead of "stain" was one example.

At one point littlepip claims to be in Calamity's "arms". That was the only typo I noticed.

some people argue that fore legs and arms are interchangeable. I've seen and commented on that error before.

Considering the ponies can become bipedal briefly sometimes, I think arms was excusable.

I'm still waiting for Lee to get up and toddle around on two legs.

I can just imagine the reactions and facehoofing that would accompany this
