Afterword

(Reprinted from Equestria Daily)

Ok, my son started playing the Skylanders game he got for Christmas and the turkey’s in the oven, finally time to read!

Opening with reading from the book to the children, teaching them what has happened in the past so that it, hopefully, won’t happen again. I could not have asked for a better opening!

Ahh, kids being kids. Always one in the group that’s not satisfied :)

OMG, it’s Fluttershy! This brings me much happiness this Christmas morning!

I love the new Element design!

“The Book of Littlepip” I’m loving that title, I might make it the subtitle on my printed copy.

I’m glad Angel is still kept near her, he would want it that way.

New alicorns! I was really hoping they wouldn’t be doomed to extinction. And Surprise is just so adorable!

So, Littlepip can’t leave the SPP, that’s too bad, I was really hoping she could settle down with Homage.

So, they are now growing Killing Joke and they also create and sell drugs. This could be bad in the future, very bad.

I see another resource war in the future unless they try coming up with other means to generate power.

Ewww, watching a bird eat a mouse is not a pleasant sight.

I can just imagine how painful it would be for Velvet to see Pyrelight fall apart.

I really hope someone does some art of Fluttershy with pink stripes in her grey hair, it sounds beautiful.

Aqua Cura, perfect :)

Ok, so Littlepip & Homage still get to spend some time together! Yes! They earned it.

Strawberry Lemonade's grave just caused much emotion in me. She may not have had much “screen time” but she was a very well written character that one could truly care about.

“He caught her. His little falling star” Ok, here come the tears, tears of joy.

Arbu prison, it makes sense really, perfect location for one and a dark past.

And, the end. I have to say it was a great ending to an amazing story. It didn’t end exactly how I would like, but in many ways it was better. I would have loved to see Calamity and Velvet have a foal of their own, but there is still time.

Fallout: Equestria has renewed my love of fan fiction and reading in general, it has opened up an amazing world to me and inspired me to “do better” and to get off my lazy butt and accomplish something. It has given me a world to imagine stories in, a world that far outshines both of its source materials. I love Fallout and I love MLP, but your blending of the two has brought about a truly inspiring story.

It may sound strange, given how dark the story is, but I always found it an uplifting story. It was a story about ponies who were willing to sacrifice everything, their lives, their loves, to make the world just a little better, to help ponies that were without hope, to inspire others to stand up and fight for what is right, to bring just a little hope to a hopeless wasteland, to just do better.

Thank you Kkat, for inspiring us all.

Quite fitting. And we still don't know who all the elements were!

It looks like he fell to a cockatrice (expected), not to the Killing Joke (thought to be possible).

At least it appears she can leave her little module for short breaks.

My Little Pony: The Day of the Killing Joke.

War. War never changes. Interstingly, no mention of the outcome of the Enclave civil war.

I was surprised that Fluttershy was visiting those graves. I expected them to be graves of recovered mane 6/CMC, though clearly it would have only been some of them, others being irretrievable

I hoped/expected some sort of Fluttershy ending, but not from her view. It was amusing to find what she thought of Velvet!

It is not often a story can raise real emotions in me, but this on certainly did!

Likewise.
