After a brief search on wikipedia, I just realized that "lacunae" is a version of the word "lacuna", which (in various situations) means a lack of something. For example, lacuna in linguistics is when a language lacks a certain word.
Kind of a horrible thing to be named, eh? I wonder why she named herself such...

From what I understand, she is a winged unicorn who lacks a connection to the goddess.

Actually she still has her connection to the goddess, but because the eversation fields cause the goddess pain she stays out of Lacunae's mind.
