The Rest of the Story?
I am interested to know if there are, or someone is working on, not just a side story, but the untold stories that seem to be embedded within the FOE universe?
Being a first pony story there were a number of points throughout the story that couldn't be told through Pip's eyes...only the aftermath.
I had an idea for one as a short story, but I didn't want to begin without asking if anyone had done this already and thought I would ask here.

Re: The Rest of the Story?
When I first started reading FOE, I was intrigued by this passage:
"“...still sealed up. There is no way inside. My son, he ate one of the apples from those damned apple trees up near the Stable, and now he’s terribly sick. Too sick to move. We’ve holed up in the cistern near the old memorial. We’re running out of food and medical supplies. Please, if anypony hears this, help us... Message repeats."
What I would like to know is if anyone has written this story.
If not then I would like to know if there was more information given in any other part of the story. *I'm not worried about spoilers* I've already skimmed through it* But I did not come across anything else on the subject other then where Pip found the remains of the bodies in the cistern.
I have actually starting writing on this but would like to know if there is any more information I should read first.

Not that I know off. It is just an installment of those little sad side stories.

And that's what I feel is interesting to me about FOE. I realize a lot of the main history was told by the main story but what of all these untold stories. parts of the story that moved it along but was never really told other then the aftermath.
I started working of the beginning of this. Nothing fancy, just a short story nothing of great length. maybe 15-20 pages or 3-4 chapters *full credits given of coarse*
I just didn’t know if there was anything else mentioned in FOE on it.

I know TenMihara's working on The Ditzy Doo Chronicles. There's one.
It's hard to kill memories when you remember everything.

Re: The Rest of the Story?
I have to agree with you. But is is not only FoE, but Fallout in general. All these little things and side stories, but also those conspiracies of epic scale is what really makes Fallout shine in my opinion.
There is nothing better than going in a Vault and then you find computer entries about something really monstrous of epic scale that happened 200 years ago. After that all you can do is sit in a corner, rocking forward and back, saying: "You sick motherf*ckers, what have you done? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"
It creeps me out everytime and I LOVE it!. ^^

What inspired me to start was giving credence to the rumors of a black-ops stable (thought to perhaps be stable 2). My lead character is from just such a stable.

Interesting but that must have been one of the parts I skimmed over but I should get to it soon. I'm on chapter 14
I've just about got my outline complete.
At the moment it's called "FOE, Settlers Cry" It is a first pony view through the fathers eyes and based off the fact that since Pip had found the remains long decayed I made the event a mere 10 years after holocaust as survivors started to travel the wastelands but were unprepared for what was really out there.
