Re: Star Citizen
Another interesting bit from that same article. I mentioned escape pods getting destroyed? If you're in UEE space and you destroy another player's escape pod, you're going to have UEE law enforcement on your ass pretty quick, and you're going to have player-claimable bounties on your head that will make safely navigating pirate space a risky proposition as well.
Conversely, if you tractor in another player's escape pod before he or she calls in the NPC Rescue & Recovery crews by activating the rescue beacon, you'll get a tidy reward from the insurance company.

Intriguing. That sounds like a lot of fun, and I can just imagine that some long time players are going have pretty big dynasties of play. Playing a literal family... that's gotta be a new one.
I just bet that there are going to be players lurking around big PVP battlezones tractoring up escape pods for extra cash. Hee hee.

Of course. It's going to be just like in EVE with an open business model. You can basically turn everything into a business. Wouldn't be surprised, if players actually founded own insurance companies.

This is what I'm hoping for. The one thing I love to death about EVE Online is the fully player-driven economy.f1r3w4rr10r wrote:Of course. The Hangar Module has been released.
Criteria for Hangar access:
NOTE: If you meet all three of the above criteria, simply clicking that download button will give you 5,000 in-game credits. So even if you don't currently have a computer capable of running it, go click the button.
Then have fun drooling over your ships.
Criteria for Hangar access:
- An account on the RSI website
- A pledge package that includes Alpha access
- A ship (either from your pledge package or stand-alone) that is available in the current version of the Hangar Module

Re: Star Citizen
I'm already in Eridani Light Pony, and per their rules I can't be in another group for a game they have an official presence in. They're cool folks, though (for the most part). Perhaps an alliance or something could be arranged?

Might be a good idea, i find rules like that rather odd but if they are part of the game the Reapers will be happy to fight side by side.

It doesn't prevent me from flying with other groups, but it boils down to "If we wind up on opposite sides of a conflict, we need some kind of assurance you won't work against us, so you can't be officially a member of ELP and another group at the same time."
If you want to propose a formal alliance, head over to http://www.eridanipony.com/ and talk to Aki.
