Did anyone play fallout 1 and 2? How about fallout tactics and brotherhood? I beat both 1 and 2 but i cant seem to find anyone who even touched the game. Thoughts and opinions are acknowledged!

I have played and finished FO1, FO2, FOT, FO3 and FO:NV.

What exactly are you trying to put forwards? That the Fic's only seem to have FO:NV and FO3 references?
Before the End is the story of an officer during the last two years of the war against the zebras. The story follows his journey through the Battle for Shattered Hoof Ridge, Battle of Stalliongrad and into the unknown.

Played them all bar brotherhood, as I've heard it is terrible. But the other Fallout games where some of the best I've had in gaming. Many hours where spent going through the wasteland.

But as this thread needs a bit of direction i feel, what do you miss most from the other Fallout games?

For me the thing I miss a lot from the older games is the car from Fallout 2. Just the idea of driving around in a car that I imagined looking like something from Madmax was pretty fun.
When life gives you lemons, it is because there is a horrifying monster in the next chamber with 400,000,000 HP, whose only weakness is lemons.

I go further back than that. I played Wasteland. A lot. Many years later, when the Wasteland name wasn't able to be revived, Fallout came along, and of course I bought it too. And Fallout 2. When I play a game, I play it for months on end, until I know every in and out of that game. I get my money's worth! FOE inspired me to dig out Fo2 for another bash, but eventually, I gave in and bought 3 and NV.
The Toaster Repair reference in Fallout 3 actually refers to Wasteland, in which there was a specific skill "toaster repair" that could only be used on the three toasters in the game, and then only if you lugged them all into the Citadel which was the penultimate baddy location. Smart cookies could actually repair four toasters - the fourth had a car's engine jammed in it!!!, and then the game would tell them there were too many crumbs on the workbench to repair any more.
My brother, who was in games wholesale told me not to bother with the tactics/brotherhood ones as they weren't particularly good.

hi hi

I think its more a matter of play preference. Tactics and Brotherhood are for people who just like shooting things a lot till they die from it. There are people for whom plot is just a waste of time that gets in the way of more shooting things, and those are the kinds of people that Fallout Brotherhood was made for.

Back in college, I had a room mate who loved Tactics and Brotherhood, and played both of them several times through. He also thought Resident Evil: Apocalypse was a good movie. Which is fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You really can't expect anypony to do much other than check the wiki, or youtube some of the major event's or plot points from Fallout 1-2. Its 2011 and all those games are very much so outmoded.

Of course the games are outdated but so what? I personally just add them to my classic games list, along with mario, jet force Gemini and spyro. And I only asked out of curiosity! Also the games provide a lot of ideas for writing in case anyone is out. I liked tactics only because you could create your own missions. I haven't played brotherhood *sad face*

hi hi

Brotherhood of Steel really shines as a multiplayer game. Its on the same level as X-men Legends, Balders Gate: Dark Alliance, or Hunter: The Reckoning. You grab some friends, grab some snacks and kick back on a lazy evening and watch the fireworks.

Oh those are actually good examples of the type of game that brotherhood is. I totally get it now. Sounds interesting.
