Thanks Shady Steps, I'll try my best to make it fun. There's nothing I can do about network problems, except maybe cross my fingers and pray to Luna that a lightning bolt, or a spider, or a lightning spider shall smite the evildoers that mess up the servers. :P

Also, if anyone hasn't seen it yet. I'm trying to organize the version 2.0 rules HERE.

I need to tweak magic and do a little bit more work on gear, then it should be ready to go... Assuming people want to give it a try. (Regardless of how much work I've put into it though, I'm not going to switch over if people don't want to.)

You all will have to forgive me if I'm a little bit like Rarity and start saying "It has to be better than just nice, it has to be fantastic." Until its fabulous, the rules will probably continue to be tweaked.

I think the weirdest thing for people to get the hang of is going to be the dice. They are -admittedly- a little unusual, but I'm convinced it will be worth it. I've grown quite frustrated with d100s and their poor distribution of results. I can't count how many times people have complained about the dicebot defying expectations, and that simply won't do.

One thing I must mention though is that combat is likely to be deadlier for some of you. At least, if everything goes according to plan, the disparity between combat monster and faceless nobody will be a little bit smaller. (They might get a hit before they die, maybe. Taking cover might possibly be more important.)

Also, I was working on the character sheet, trying to make a version for Alicorns with rad regeneration already built in, so I made this as an example of what a character might look something like after being converted. (I've skipped over some of the perks for now, but this is just an example)

I'm going to start making character sheets for people using the revised rules, so hopefully people will have a better understanding of how things work. This isn't going to be set in stone though, since some of the rules are changing around a bit, and if you have any questions or want to tweak things like perks or whatnot, let me know.

It was brought to my attention the other day that at least one person felt that the game has been progressing slowly recently. I am doing my best to make things interesting, but if you do have any concerns, please let me know. Also, in case anyone missed it earlier, I wrote up a small document detailing some of the stuff that is going on and possible things your characters could be taking care of.

Dangling Threads

If the quests that I have been trying to get folks to go on just aren't interesting to you, it might be helpful for me to know why. If people do want to become town guards, I can think up of a lot of stuff for you to do.

With any luck, I will be able to stay on the ball at least for a little while and keep it up to date.

Also, I feel I should mention now that you may want to brace yourselves, because winter is coming. (in the Northern hemisphere.) That means three months of winter coolness, but it also means lots of awesome holidays. I don't imagine we would ever be able to find a backup day on which to play, so that means there will probably be several weeks where we don't play coming up in November and December.

Speaking of holidays, I will be gone on November 2nd, 2012. So there will, unfortunately, not be a game that night. (or morning, or afternoon, depending on your time zone.) With any luck though, I'll see you all on the 9th. :)
