Gauging Interest.
Hello fellow writers! It's your favorite arachnid abomination here! I have a proposition for you.
I was thinking it would be fun and informational to release and discuss a series of prompts. Take a look at how we all manage the creative process. Share pointers and help each other grow. Make a place on the forums where we can get down and dirty in the writing trenches and give honestly constructive criticism.
With that in mind, I plan to create threads under the format Mr. Clacky's Workshop #: The Topic. In which a prompt would be given and you all (and me) would create and respond. My hope is that by having a place to share ideas and attack common problems as a community, we all get to improve.
Before I jumped into this and incited a riot in the forum (Who do you think you are Clacky! *Rabble Rabble*) I figured I would see if there is any interest in this kind of project. I'm relatively new to the community here, but I'm excited about arranging this. That said, I don't want to step on any toes or throw time down the well.
So, are you interested in a community project to improve your writing? Is this the dumbest thing you have ever heard? Would you participate by answering prompts? Giving constructive criticism? Both? What do you think?
