What side stories do you read?

Post by Arcane_Scroll » Sun Oct 09, 2011 7:42 pm

Just curious, I recently started reading Project Horizons and am enjoying it and I was wondering what everyone else was reading?

I was originally going to put off reading any of the side stories until the main fic ended, but who knows when that's going to happen. Mostly it's because I don't want to be reading too many in-progress fanfics and getting them mixed up with the actual FO:E canon, especially when they may conflict due to future chapters. Project Horizons has been getting such good reviews though that I'm getting really tempted to start reading it as well.

I held off on Project Horizons for a long time but decided to read it during Kkat's vacation. It's good, and it keeps within the main story better then most. The Enclave is a bit different, but I just think if them as a different branch of the Enclave. The only down sides are that the writing isn't up to the level we're used to with Kkat and the characters from FO:E are a little "off", Spike especially. On the plus side is the characters are amazing, I love the Crusaders, such a great idea!

Yeah PH here as well.i It's simply amazing as well, Like Arcane said the characters are really and Somber takes you on one hell of a emotional roller coaster with BlackJack.. Well worth a read if people haven't yet.

Other than that I haven't simply because I'm reading other things. I have a file on my PC of fanfic's with most still being done and it's nearly at 2 GB atm. I think a good chunk of it is FO:E but that's still alot of stories.

I've been trying to get into Project Horizons, I'm only up to Chapter 5, and for some reason I haven't gotten myself to read on. I'm very interested, but something is keeping me back. But oh well, it's definitely on my list of things I simply must do in the near future.

Although yesterday, I was actually reading FOE from the beginning again :o That's just me being me, sticking to what I know and which I already know I like, rather than jumping into new territory. Tsh.

You really should carry on. Its gets even better in the later chapters.

I read Project Horizons. I've had a look at many others, but none have really grabbed me to the extent that I remember them. Then of course there is the one I am writing.

I'm sticking to the main story and Project Horizons for now. I know how much work goes into a story and since I'm working on a Fic of my own, I would feel compelled to work around the canon of other stories I've read (working around Somber and Kkat is hard enough).
