When the megaspells were traded between Equestria and the Zebra Empire a hundred and fifty years ago, the island that the Zebras had called Hibernia escaped the destruction. However when an item is dug up which threatens the balance of power, the island's factions race to try and claim it before others can figure out how to use it. Amongst all the chaos, a lowly unicorn hears something on the island calling to her and in her search for it, she finds herself wrapped up in a world of politics, espionage and the worth of one's soul.
