If you're going down this road, it might also be nice to define what Flight Rank 5 means in the first place (particularly in terms of the penalties to hit. I've been mentally going of -70/-50)Viewing_Glass wrote:It should be noted that the Wonderbolt Maneuver 'Sonic Rainboom' says you 'temporarily gains Flight (Rank 5)'. My two caps: Change 'temporarily gains Flight (Rank 5)' to 'gains Flight (Rank 5) for AGI/2 (round up) rounds'.

Re: Alternate Core Documents
Flight Rank also determines your flight speed. Mine and Aqu's sheet already have the formulas for that in them.

Ah, yeah. I was just referring to it as a boost of speed, not increased penalties to hit the pegasus using this maneuver. Primarily because a Pegasus already is one of those things that is incredibly hard to hit.Thanqol wrote:If you're going down this road, it might also be nice to define what Flight Rank 5 means in the first place (particularly in terms of the penalties to hit. Re: Alternate Core Documents
On the note of pegasai and flying I am curious if there are any rules or anything for flying and carrying ponies (will or not).
As well as how flight would interact with grapples. I ask because I am wanting to build an unarmed pegasus with a focus on grappling and unarmed, and it occurs that pulling off something like a flying suplex might be more trouble then it's worth.
Another idea that came up was grabbing an enemy and dragging them forcefully along the ground for damage. (or in the case of a pegasus up a wall like Ridley http://youtu.be/qNL7lAmkgXw?t=12m )
(I think mechanically something like this would require a grapple followed by a pin and then moving)
Anyway it goes though I notice there is a distinct lack of rules involving moving others. The Closest I was able to find was under the choke rules.
Also a question about Spirits of Diamond. I've had someone argue that the maximum total DT refers to the maximum DT of the item and not the character.
They were attempting to cast the advanced level on somepony's cloak. That is all fine and good but they were also wearing Power barding so they had a DT of 28. They argued that the cloaks DT was 10 (1+9) not 30. Pretty sure it refers to the character's overall DT, but I'd like some kind of ruling.

Would that be for each move action or would it count as one move action with you just spending all the AP into moving the distance you planned on moving? While choking an opponent, you may take no other actions except attempting basic move actions, requiring you to maneuver your opponent with you. Movement distances for both you and your opponent are reduced by half and move actions are contested with opposed agility rolls.

There are slam rules, which do allow quite a bit of movement. This is from the advanced combat moves section.
Slam: You slam your body into your target, sending the target flying. This basic Unarmed attack costs double your Unarmed weapon AP to perform and cannot be parried. The only unarmed weapons that can be used for this attack are helmets and body spikes. Otherwise, the AP and damage are based on a bare-bodied attack. If successful, this attack deals normal damage. Then make an opposed STR check with a bonus of +1 for every 10 damage before armor (max +5) that you inflicted with the attack. For every degree of success you achieve on the opposed roll, you hurl the target 1 yard in any direction, so long as the target is not more than one size larger than you. Should your target contact a solid object before the end of her movement, she and the object take +1d10 damage per yard of remaining movement. Should the damage from knockback exceed the object's HP, the object breaks and the target continues moving whatever distance remains. If you fail any part of this attack, roll an Agility check to stay upright.

Except however that is just moving the enemy.

Well thee are no official weights for ponies, so that would have to be worked out. But should be possible for a strong pegasus to carry a single pony.
Re: Alternate Core Documents
Shouldn't be too hard to figure out, to get the weight of a pony, you'd just need to get a brushable toy, measure its volume via water displacement, scale up the volume by cubing the number you get by dividing the height of your pony by the height of the brushable figure, and then multiply the resulting volume by the density of a marshmallow.Ghostpony wrote:Well thee are no official weights for ponies, so that would have to be worked out. Re: Alternate Core Documents
The way Spirit of Diamond is worded, it actually makes no sense to be limited to /player/ DT, since it allows you to cast it on objects that aren't worn -- why would it matter if you were wearing armor if you cast Spirit of Diamond on the fabric wall of your tent? I'm going to be siding with "total DT of the affected item plus the bonus from the spell can't exceed x" as the proper way it works.Godna wrote:Also a question about Spirits of Diamond. Your friend just happened to find a pretty big oversight in the system, that's all. Cloaks have always been causing problems like that. (Such as doubling their DT if you "Ah Fixed It", giving a cheap and easy source of extra DT if you have somepony with that perk in the party)

Way to complicated for me. Viewing Glass has a system he could post. Especially as we can now quote Kkat calling them marshmallow ponies.
