((Only thing is that you are not pretending to be a clueless citizen at all. You are an overly analytic player.))

"Schorcht, you're a reasonable fella," JC approaches Schorcht.

I don't play Mafia to play a character, I play Mafia to try to out-think the other players--not characters, players. Roleplaying gets in the way of that. It's hard to have the kind of in-depth debates on posting tendencies, consistency, possible role abilities, etc. that I like to see while pretending to be a relatively-clueless citizen in a small town where people are getting fecking murdered every night.
"Silverlight here speaks in tongue!" She was still adressing the pegasi. ((then at least write OOC, like fire I don't grasp why you're playing at all then, being a character is all the fun)) "Also the popular opinion has changed, it's a tie, if you'd change your opinion we'd rid ourselves of the leader of this witchhunt!" ((so I'm simply doing my best to kick you :P ))
What would Craft do?

The pegasus raises an eyebrow. "Of course I am a reasonable fella. What point are you trying to make with such a statement?"

"See. I don't want to sound... bad, or even rude. However, by strong reasoning it is quite hard for ponies to make desicions with zero evidence so pointing hoofs and judging reactions are the best way to get a hold on the situation. Now, if I stay my vote we lose a SourCherry and if I don't die then we can get rid of Mr. Random tomorrow" He nods.

((What is everypony talking about? There are currently four (4) votes for SourCherry.))

(( My bad, My edit of mine post apperently did not go throught the way I wanted, it is indeed a 4v3 scenario. ))

As the day goes on, everypony seems to agree, that SourCherry has always been a suspicious fellow. SourCherry was screaming and yelling, swearing that she was innocent, and, as the attitudes started to go from suspicous to a desire for vengance, pleaded for mercy. Before the sun lowers, a terrible deed has been committed, that forever will stain Applegroves history. What was once a break from the harsh wastes, is now a part of it. As the ponies started to calm down they realized, that SourCherry was innocent all along, just a regular villager.

The night lowers once again, and ponies go back to sleep, but noone sleeps as well as before...
I made some tokens to be used for virtual tabletops such as roll20, might be of interest if you like a playing field for your games.

((I know it's not time to post as a villager, but I think this video fits the description you gave pretty well: http://youtu.be/vVkDrIacHJM ))

Thunder and Rain greets the villagers as they get out of their homes. Adding to the already depressed mood in the village. But at the same time, everypony is happ to be alive. Schorcht starts up a campfire for everypony to gather around and talk through the situation. Well, everypony but not everyzebra. The local outcast is nowhere to be seen and soon ponies start suspecing the worst, approaching firewarrriors shack, the suspicions are confirmed.

In his bed lies Firewarrior, no sign of struggle. His complexion is pale, his body stale and cold, but his eyes open and mouth frozen in terror. Searching through the victoms humble abode reveals nothing unusual but a small blob of green muckus. Firewarrior was but an Innocent Villager, with no role in the greater picture.
And so begins the second day, with firewarrior falling victim to... whoever done all this. 5 ponies remains, this is starting to look grim. The night comes in 48 hours from now, Monday at 18:00 GMT (or later, I'm busy that day).

"Alright. So. I'm getting rid of the pony who votes at random. No one wants their life left up to luck. Silverlight it is"

"I find it somewhat suspicious that Waak voted out SourCherry without batting an eye."
