I have my Kindle, from there I just need to find something, and figure out how to get Canternet on it.

I mean it wouldn't be perfect but it would be better than my current situation of nothing.

The Kindle Fire runs a customized version of Android, and most Android apps are available for it (I recommend AndChat). If it's the basic Kindle e-reader with the e-ink screen, you're probably out of luck.

Open the server settings in whatever app you're using. The simplest way to set it up is to enter irc.canternet.org for the server address, and use the standard IRC port of 6667.
