Five Pointed Star - FPS Group [4/4]
Re: Five Pointed Star - FPS Group
Alright, as soon TicTac can confirm that it'll be gravy. I'm also wondering if what vehicles would be available and what their Tier/Cost would be. I've always wanted to play a character with Pilot.
Also, there are two Amour/Clothing on that equipment list, one tiered and one not. They also have conflicting information. For instance, one lists Flakk Armour as having 8DT while the other lists it at 20DT.

Re: Five Pointed Star - FPS Group
Thank you for clearing that up Zephyr. But yeah, +1 yard for anything increasing movement speed by 1.

Re: Five Pointed Star - FPS Group
Use the tiered list for armor and clothing. I'm not seeing the discrepancy you mentioned, but we'll stick to using the tiered list. As for vehicles I'm not sure yet. I've never actually played in a game that involved a wide range of vehicles before, but I'm open to considering implementing them if there are sheets available.sophos wrote:Alright, as soon TicTac can confirm that it'll be gravy. I'll take a look. I know that starting out you wouldn't be able to have one for personal use though, that's more mid-game level equipment, and pricing would depend on condition, who's selling it, negotiation rolls, ect.

Re: Five Pointed Star - FPS Group [2/4]
I think the previous vehicle rules are too complex. They would be a lot easier and intuitive if we just treated them like creatures. Here's how I would play them:
Size -1--5 with each vehicle able to carry one creature 1 size over it, 2 its size, 4 1 size below, 8 2 size below, and etc; modified by number of seats and perhaps an option to overload with a debuff similar to overencumbrance. -1 size vehicles would be skateboards and such, 0 size would be bikes, 1 size would be cars (-2 seats for coups and +2 for hatchbacks), 2 size would be trucks, and so on.
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats -- STR determines weight capacity, PER modifies the driver's PER (typically negating penalties for weather [windshield wipers for rain or headlights for low-light], +1 PER for rear view mirrors, and sonar for submersibles), END determines health, CHA modifies the driver's CHA, INT determines difficulty to repair and mod, AGI determines AP, and LCK modifies the driver's LCK. STR and END determines hauling capacity. END*INT determines fuel efficiency. AGI - INT (minimum of 10) determines AP cost for advanced combat actions. Movement speeds would be determined the same way as it is for creatures while Pony-powered vehicles (skateboards/conventional bikes) would only modify a driver's END and AGI for movement purposes while fuel-powered vehicles would never have less than 15 AGI or more than 5 INT. Statistics modifiable by various traits, perks, equipment, and mods.
What'cha think?

Gyr
RP Sample:
"We're just ten minutes away, sir," said a young stallion with a double portion of saddlebags on his back. "But I still don't get why you insisted on Crimson Leaf turf. I know Baltimare has a reputation for progress, but the Leaves are the worst of it."
"Pfft, times are so peaceful now," said Gyr out of the side of his moth, shambling along on two and three-quarters of a leg. His one set of talons were too busy emoting to carry him, and an office chair wheel squeaked under his weight in place of the other. "There was a time when every hour might have been your last and even a clean drink of water was cheaper than your life. I was around your age when the the battle broke out at Neighvarro. Just a brat mercenary who'd never seen a proper battlefield. The skies were littered with falling corpses and rising lead. I ran out of bullets before I even saw the whites of their eyes. I was burying my talons so deep in- so deep in Enclave soldiers, I didn't get one back."
"That sounds horri-"
"I loved it!" Gyr let out a long sigh. "I missed out on the great war and the conflicts out West, but I had that one taste. Alas, that was two decades ago last month."
"Okaaay. Well, I'm sure you'll love the Leaves then." The stallion exhaled through his nose. "I mean, I wouldn't go anywhere near here if you weren't paying me."
"Paying you!?" Gyr snatched his saddlebags off the stallions back and lurched on towards the city gates. "Youth these days, they can't even help an old cripple out."
"B-But, we're already here," the stallion called after him. "You aren't even that old- or crippled."
"Oh it's too late for flattery, son," Gyr called back over his shoulder. But a small smirk was already creeping at the edge of his beak, and at the end of his sentences. "I'll just have to find some real philanthropists."

Is there still an open slot?

Ah shoot, I accidentally read the day of the week as Sunday. I can't do Monday I'm afraid.
