Its been a hundred and fifty years since the world was scorched in balefire and megaspells. The most lucky of ponies took shelter from the storm underground or died while Pegasus ponies: Driven by the desire to survive closed up the skies. Sealing themselves away from the hell that took place on the surface.

Some of the remaining populace on the surface were transformed by the potent necrotic energies of balefire. Their flesh became warped and began to decay. Dead, yet somehow trapped in the limbo of the surface these zombieponies took to calling themselves ghouls and attempted to make a living as best they could.

What happened when ponykind finally left their underground protective shelters was a great reaping of old world resources. Like maggots feasting upon a corpse.

Not willing to fight back or deal with the blatant racism, mockery and violence directed towards them by the living, most ghouls followed the Celestia-line north, and fled towards Stalliongrad. The cold environment deterred most from following and on top of that the city itself was surrounded by a large unscalable wall.

The first nomads to reach the city quickly found out that that the city gates were manned by their fellow kind. Stalliongrad like the rest of the wasteland had its own population of ghouls. A community blossomed and bodily decay was slowed by the natural cold.

A paradise, but it was not to last.

Nest by nest Griffinkind were forced down on the surface by the grand pegasus enclave. Most fled south towards Equestria and united under the name of Lion Company.

Offering their help and expertise to the highest bidder Lion company soon had all the renown they ever needed. Merely the means to an end.

Lionel Goldenbeak had a vision of griffin supremacy, and soon saw in Stalliongrad a place of technology and power. Resources he could use to bolster his growing army. Resources he could use against the grand pegasus enclave.

It would not be long until Stalliongrad was besieged.

This was just the start of Lionels grand design. The charismatic griffin leader began to recruit. Not just any pony but every pony that wished to come. Offering the one thing that was in short supply. Acceptance and forgiveness along with riches and glory, so long as you upheld the contract.

A series of tents make out the camp of Veterans Rest. The first station for many a fledgling recruit. The group gathers around a roaring fire to keep warm while the sound of gunfighting echoes in the distance. Stalliongrad burns as another pack of “new bloods” wait to be assigned a team. Their reasons are as always: Purely their own.

Characters will be allowed to select one trait, based on those found in the Fallout Games; http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Traits Excluding Gifted and Skilled; those require GM permission (because they're kind of hard to implement in the system as it is). Claustrophobic ponies are advised to stay home as there will be a lot of dungeon crawling.

Each player starts out with 100 caps worth in supplies and 250 caps worth in gear. This is not hardcore mode, but characters are expected to eat, sleep and drink at appropriate times. Frost and environmental damage will come into play too.

Big thanks to Tenmihara, Zeth and Kkat for providing material i can use. Some of these documents will in due time be replaced by remakes that have some of Snow group flavor added.

7 am ~ That's early for a night owl, but plausible.
I'm very new to whole pony RPG scene, but have been fascinated on this world since having finished vanilla FoE while having been told about this game i figured I'd have to get in on one and so started watching this forum for a new group before it started to form. I've only done a few D&D type games because of physical time constraints (usually of everyone else) but have always wished i had gone out and done more with different groups. I'd considered other online groups but never got around to it. I'm also a very frequent role player on Gaia.
So while my time zone is a bit off and have never done one here, I'm not inexperienced in neither the online text-based RP scene nor the concept of dice-based games. I've skimmed the different variations of rulebooks I've seen around the forums but if you don't mind me I'll read this one much more dutifully.

I just put a time there for it to be convenient for me. I`ll happily listen to any other suggested timeframe so long as it remains in the weekend (saturday/sunday) and checks out with the other players.

Also, if you think you can handle a few dicerolls and show up on time consistently. Then just read the rules and make a character. We can talk over IRC(nickname Damhoof) or Skype if you want.

I can get anything necessary to play the game, even any specialty programs if you like to use one. As for the time frame, i think that depends on the overall players themselves. For me it's very early but any later and it begins cutting in to an ending time. That part of things can wait i suppose. I'll read over things and post what i have when i get it.

- Wasn't sure about limb condition maxes... might after read it somewhere but i can only remember reading about effects of them being injured.
- There wasn't armor, ammo, or equipment listed in your TenMihara copy so i used the original document and treated (Gem Pack) = (Magical Cell) for price. Also, conditions start max for items? Weight on misc. items/Security Barding?

I'm going to be modifying it slowly as i learn more about this system and make fixes, but this is what i have so far. I also intend to make a second file to keep track of my chosen spells and notes about what they do.

I started out wanting to be a Melee brute type character, but began to diverge toward the thoughts of a unicorn specializing only in teleportation and using it to his advantage at melee, now after having read most everything I feel i can create a unique personality for him with a primary in Illusion magic and a side of medical. If we get a medical focus pony then i can modify it be a more buff-type magic disciple.

1) There is ammo and equipment in that document.

If you enter the document, you can check the bottom of the screen and see a bunch of tabs. There are also tabs on your character sheet.

Now if you make a unicorn you might want to add a tab called Magical and calculate in potency and versatility + strain and any spells you have. Try not to add these things onto the starting sheet. As that just leads to unnecessary clutter.

At any rate You need to know that there are tabs at the bottom of these sheets, and that you can create more tabs.

3 Strength is very low. Now if you look at the weapons tab within the document you might find that the majority of guns have a Strength or STR modifier. This is the requirement for wielding the weapon with your mouth. A unicorn might bypass this somewhat with Telekinesis which is endurance based, but if you want to wield the weapons without being restricted by strain then you might consider picking up a higher strength or a battle saddle.

Using them in battle saddles (costs 50% of weapon for framework)

Is there any issues with how my profile holds up now? With nothing else to do now i could easily recreate something different to fit a completely different niche if you feel someone needs to. (Melee, perhaps try something completely different race-wise) Though as it stands now i question whether it's a good idea to drop someone who's intending to side in Medical. Also, if you have an idea for when exactly the first session is intended I'd like to know so i can 'reset my internal clock' to one feasible of the [7 am (pst)] time you mentioned.

For that matter, why am i the only one who is replying in the thread? >,>

in case somepony wonders. I have finished up most of the setting to an acceptable level and would like to officially declare tomorrow as the day we start. Some of you might not get the message so It will be a trial run at worst. A real run at best.
