By popular demand, a few additions to the rules, mostly for clarification and troubleshooting.

Rules Clarifications:
  • When a magical energy attack turns a target to ash or goo, it destroys the target's armor (and any integrated weapons). Other items on the target may still be looted. Weapons that the target had are considered to have suffered a critical failure for purposes of tracking weapon degradation. This rules note has been added to the Item Degradation section of the rules.

Methods for breaking out of a telekinetic field has been clarified, including using projectile weapons to kick a character out of the field.

A caster may only have one Shield spell active at a time.

Since the changelings are mentioned under the spell "Alter Physiology", are they going to be integrated as a playable race, or is it a just-in-case note?

Unrelated to that, I've noticed that Tenmihara's character sheet doesn't properly calculate AP. The cell lacks any kind of calculation, and just says "70".

Well, jojolagger and I had begun work on rules for changelings, but haven't worked that hard on it due to a lack of feedback on our prior work. On that note, are we just wasting our time with that? :unsuresweetie:

Well...I wouldn't put them into Kkat's document, but that's because, to my understanding, there are no Diamond Dogs, only Hell Hounds. Unless I missed something in FoE...

Well, in Project Horizons (which while not canon, is alluded to many times in the core documents) there are the sand dogs, which are unmutated diamond dogs that have since changed what they call themselves. You do bring up a good point, though, maybe I should have added a note as to the difference. Because D-dogs are larger than ponies (although still smaller than hellhounds), I'm trying to decide whether they should have the large frame trait for free (A bonus) or as a requirement (A penalty). I'm trying to balance them against the gryphons (hands, claws, movement mode), so it really depends if you view burrowing to be worth less than flight. Also, thanks for the feedback.

Changeling rules need like, an offical DLC pack or something with only their base stats. No need for Language or anything like that, cause we each have our own head cannons and stuff for the games we play/run.
Xavi, target 45: 97 [5d100=16,2,32,26,21]

Epic set of rolls is epic.

No need for Language? AMARDA you are killing me XD i have a changeling rule set that is being tested and looks to work but the page with the rules has lots of things you can ignore if you want https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bob ... _XNm4/edit but consider that DLC for the changelings :pipshrug:

This seems like quite a bit of bookkeeping, and might need some fine-tuning of numbers (one thing I would clarify is that the stat changes from transforming are SPECIAL stats only, and I would make that not include INT or LUK, also energy blast is really vague as to the effect), but it seems much better than what jojolagger or I had come up with for changelings. Here's what we came up with, if you want to use any of the perks or something in your document, go ahead:
Spoiler: show
Changeling:
-Flight rank 1
-Shapeshifting rank 1
-Emotivore(Cannot benefit from normal food, except for potions/chems, nutrition gained from disposition of surrounding ponies (GM fiat), natural healing rate is based on the disposition of the nearest creature within 30ft towards you or your assumed form. ((Distance above Quarrelsome^2)*(CHA/3 RD) hp/hour). (Most party members will be friendly)
-No cutie mark
-Potency and versatality as unicorn.
-Strain equal to 15+1.5x(INT+END), as well as 0.5x(INT+END) per level. Strain recovery is based on emotions, as per HP recovery from emotivore. ((Distance above Quarrelsome^2) strain/hour)
-Starts with very limited spell access? :bjshrug:

Changeling perks
-Flight (rank 1/2/3) (lvl -/4/12, AGI -/5/7): As pegasus
-Shapeshifting (rank 1/2) (lvl -/6, CHA -/4): At rank 1, you can assume the appearance of any pony you have seen in detail, as well as assume their voice. At rank 2, you may assume an original appearance of your own devising, with a voice to match. You may not use magic or fly unless you are in a form that can do so.
-Clothshifting (rank 1/2) (lvl 4/8, CHA 4/6): You may change the appearance of your clothes and barding when you shapeshift, although you get no bonuses (skills, DT, etc) from the false clothes, and you still take any penalties from weight. (maybe cannot change appearance of existing armour until level 2?)
-Viscous ichor (lvl 6): Once every (11-END) hours, you may regurgitate a glob of viscous slime and spit it at a foe. You make a survival check to hit, and if hit the target must make a AGL check, -1 for every 10 points you succeeded by. If they fail they are immobilized for 10 minutes(?).
-Corrosive ichor (lvl 6): Once every (11-END) hours, you may regurgitate a glob of corrosive slime and spit it at a foe. You make a survival check to hit, and if successful the target is splattered with acid and takes 10 damage per round until they take a 45 AP action to remove it. Armor only affects the overall damage taken from a single use, as it burns its way through.
-Healing ichor (lvl 6): Once every (11-END) hours, you may regurgitate a glob of recuperative slime and apply it to yourself or an ally. The ichor staunches wounds and speeds recurperation. This stops any bleed effects on the target and heals them for 10hp/turn for a number of turns equal to your medicine skill/10.
-Emotion sense (rank1/2/3)(lvl 4/4/4): You get +5 to speech and barter per level and can tell the basic emotional state of a living being just by being near them.

Note on minor changes for Zen Casting: the "spells with Concentration" phrase was removed (it was an artifact from earlier writing). Wild Casting and Zen Casting may not both be used in the same turn.

So, does noone have any critiques for the Diamond Dogs or their perks?
