What about Brass Tongue to add a little gunponyship to the name.

silver tongue would work, my only concern would be some of the conitations of having tongue as a family name (even more so if tongue is her given name and silver is the family one). though on the other hoof that could be a source of beratement that could be added to her backstory (an ancestor with... questionable job skills may haps)

So far, I have operated under the assumption that names do not work the same way for ponies as they do for humans. For example, not everyone seem to have "proper" family names at all! Just look at LittlePip, or Blackjack.
But yeah, if I chose that name I'll joke around with it alright xD

Gahsgbdrbhgpishg. I am seriously stumped on how you guys manage to find overarcing plots. The best I have managed yet is a few idea-fragments -.-
Do you guys think it's a horribly bad idea to start writing before I know exactly what I want with the story?

EDIT: Okay! Random tiny Wasteland town name! Any ideas? =D
And, "tiny" as in, a few families and two stores or something. Not much at all.

Small town name = "Cheap Beer", considering the NoVac name in New Vegas.

well, the way I do it is to follow the fallout3/NV formula where it actually has two over arching plots (find dad to fight the enclave in 3 and kill Benny to take over vegas in NV.). What I would advise is to develop a good villain, hammer out a diabolical scheme, you now have the frame work for your second arc. Then you need to put together an ark that takes your protagonist from their home and places them in your antagonist's path and puts them in a mental state where they would chose to face it.

Before you know exactly? no. Before you know vaguely? yes. It is still doable, but you lose so many foreshadowing opportunities it isn't even funny.

Brumby (Australian wild horse)
Ead-a-fast (bead and breakfast)
Self serve (for a gas station)

Lets see... I managed, with some help of a friend of mine, to figure out an idea for the main plot. I'm borrowing a lot of elements from the main quest of Fo3 though, so I'm wondering if people care all that much.

I'm horrible at foreshadowing anyway, so I think I'll start now that I atleast know roughly what I want. xD

Self-Serve. Not bad. I think I'll be using that one =D THanks! ^^
"Brumby" wasn't all shabby either. "By" means "city" in norwegian, so it's a bilingual bonus too. (On a sidenote, "Brom"/Brum" is also the norwegian version of "vroom", so... xD ) I think I'll be using that for another town :P

Jack, I'm pretty sure almost everyone who makes Fo:E stories borrow stuff from a fallout game. Some more then others, but still.

My story got started because I was giggling while decimating a khan raider camp in fallout 1, and thought it would make for a good character entrance.
I do things, sometimes. Maybe...
Planetside 2? Maybe.

Don't know if it helps you out, but the way I've developed my main plot is to create a couple of major events, then develop what happens between them.

Hah xD
Quite the entrance xD

Hmm. Good idea. Will do! =D

Oh, yeah, by teh way; I can't use "Self-served" as a name. Fridge logic bucked me upside the head when I realized that there wouldn't BE any gas stations; all the wagons ran on pegasi power. xD

Well the wagons did also have magical energy power cells but I'm pretty sure their quality was a lot higher so they would just have to be replaced maybe every month or year, rather then every so often.
