"Might"? Pretty sure most of the storys run off sadism. I know I plan to have as much "what the flying shit man?" moments as possible. "Ride the line" if I can, until even my main character is the one "alright, what the f*** is wrong with these ponies."

Although the "unborn child" part of the story might be hard to top. :I

It's not written yet, but it relates to the Alicorn question I had earlier on. And if you read the rough cut of my second chapter, you'd know part of the reason they find this out. I'd say it comes up either late chapter 4, or mid chapter 5, depending on how I pace it.

I'm terribad at keeping secrets, I always want to toss ideas back and forth, but then I'd spoil like, half the plot twists I have. Q.Q

I know how you feel, I have several major plot twist in my story that I have to be very careful to tread around.

Also I need some help with something. In my next chapter I'm going to have a sniper battle between Hotwire and Grenadier, the leader of Sierra 1. I was going to have it where if Hotwire loses then Prism has to join Sierra 1, but I can't figure how what Hotwire would win.

Sniper battle, as in, two snipers shooting at eachother?
Or a "friendly" (as in, not killing eachother) competition?

No it's going to be a who can get closer to a target 1500 hooves with one shot.

Also... how would this contest come to be. If it was something Hotwire agrees to I can not see it getting him brownie points with Prism as betting you friends is rather uncouth.

Well pretty much Grenadier is the son of Paladin Baldwin and the nephew of Star Paladin McIntosh, so when he decides to that he wants Prism on his team he challenges Hotwire to a shooting match. Sierra teams sometimes have contests of this variety in the past for equipment and resources or to settle disagreements. Grenadier and Hotwire have had a major rivalry every since Hotwire joined the Steel Rangers.

First off: Paladin Baldwin. Jayne, the horse they call Jayne.
So this is along the lines of "I want what you have so I'm having daddy make you give it to me. The contest is a farce to save face, but I will have that nice piece of feathered tail." Sound about right?
As for how to win... cheat. From what you have said I could see Prism herself using weather effects to sabotage Grenader (unfavorable winds, poor viability, ill timed thunder claps and so on.) That or have Jury Rig supe up Hotwire's gun; it becomes far more accurate but wont last long. And finally you could have an environmental effect interrupt the contest, have Hotwire serve far more honorably than Grenader and have the overseeing paladin declare him the victor.

Not sure I get the Baldwin refrence, also I made a mistake Former High Elder Baldwin is Grenadier's grandfather Paladin Crabapple is his father.

Yea that's how it's going to start, but while Grenadier is a prick and self-righteous he still has some honor and doesn't cheat in a contest. With how the contest is going to play out, the unpredictable weather of "The Void" is going to kick in when Hotwire is about to shoot. When at the combat range, Hotwire fires weapons using levitation, even though he has trouble firing anything larger then a SMG and will fire these while they are mounted or using a bi-pod. Also while Hotwire is a skill sniper, he usually downplays this when he's on base.
