I've never played a PnP game before but I'm looking to give it a shot. I don't have a strong familiarity of the FO:E universe either. I do have a character (and subsequent backstory if need be) in mind for learning purposes, though I still need to figure out how to build his stats and such. Obviously open to change based on Rule Set, House Rules Ect. I also know they lack a few things like items, but I would rather wait till rules were set to define them however it would not take long to finish them.
