The point of rolling a d100 vs. Stat*10 is that (a) you now use the same die for all your checks, (b) it allows for finer granularity in results, and (c) you can use the same crit-success/crit-fail windows for SPECIAL checks as you do for Skill checks. So no, you won't necessarily get the same result.

I'm interested in joining. Have a character and a background ready to use, but the stats thing is confusing me a bit.

Which part's confusing? I'll try to clarify what I can.

It was the Skills that I was confused with.

As in what to do with them? Or what they mean? Or is it something else?

In descending order of importance:
:drwhooves:
1) The skills used are an expanded set, as made by Mad_Modd, so some are more specific then the original set
2) TAG skills, in this, have a different function: you get 10+ to the skill, and any skill that is TAG'd can have up to 15 SP put into the "TAG ranks" column. This column gives double the SP put into it for the skill, meaning if you put 1 SP in it, the skill goes up by 2.
3) Some skills now have two SPECIAL stats that modify them, instead of just one.

If that doesn't answer at least some of your questions, then you'll have to be pretty darn specific.
Incidentally, I'd like in. Sent a PM already.

I am very interested in this group. I've been waiting for one to pop up that seemed more "normal"! I almost missed it too.

Think you have room for a professional thief/scavenger? :D I already have an old sheet mostly finished, for reference before I port her to the new sheet. Her sheet is here!

EDIT: New sheet is here!

Howdy! Tyran clued me in to this game and I'm very interested. I'm sitting on several concepts so i can roll with what the group needs. I consider myself pretty well experienced and would love a chance to play with you all. Wanted to jump in real quick with a fast "OooO! OooO! Me!"

After chatting with Damnfool in the LFG channel, I'm even more excited. I'll keep an eye out for you in chat.

This idea sounds cool, i'd like to be included in this group as well. I'll be working on a character sheet in the meanwhile, though heads-up i'll be adding a zebra character. I'll be adding his sheet once i'm finished. But here's the link for it so far. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... ZWGc#gid=0

Yeah, that's what I wanted to know. Thank you. I'll have a character ready to use soon.
