Reposted from Equestria Daily:
That mirror scene is still one of the most powerful scenes in the story so far in my opinion, I go back and re-read it often.
“I died” I actually had to stop reading for a moment there, I realized I had been holding my breath and reading that hit me heard.
I think this is the first time heaven and hell have been mentioned. I had assumed the ponies had no concepts of this seeing as how their religion is so different.
Bones, everywhere in the wasteland, even here. This always makes me sad, all these lives gone, nobody to remember them, no sign of even who they were. Just nameless bones.
I had not thought of that, it’s the act of sending a message, even subconsciously, that triggers it. That makes sense, but it doesn’t link well to “Griffon the Brush-Off”, I don’t think Spike would have been trying to send those scrolls as a message.
And, it’s discussed in the next paragraph
Nightmare Moon security, that would certainly cause any zebras that managed to get in to second guess their decision.
The image of Celestia spreading her wings across the screens... that is a powerful mental image there!
“You are Littlepip, she of the colorful vulgarities, am I right?” I am laughing so hard right now!
Celestia’s been living with that for over 200 years. Something like that would destroy a persons soul. She Herself created the wasteland.
I knew disconnecting the mainframes from the controls would come back again someday, but not like this, not as a prison.
Homage, in Rockopolis, one of the tragic spots on FO3. I was truly chocked up when I found it in the game, I had almost come to know this ghoul through the radio plays and stories. I walked away from the game at that point, didn’t play again for hours. Now, Homage is there and those feelings have come back up again.
Re: Threesome. OMG Littlepip, do you ever think before you speak? XD
I guess we aren’t going to learn about Rainbow dash. I’m ok with that, like Littlepip thought “It’s good that there are still some mysteries.”
And full circle. Why am I crying now?
There’s one part in the story, the end of the prologue, that always causes me to get chocked up no matter how often I read it It did the first time, when I started reading it because I was sick and had nothing better to do thinking it would be a little diversion. And, it has the other eighteen times I’ve read the story from the beginning. They are the words that I associate most with the story, the words that always make me cry.
“my name is LittlePip … Pleased to meet you. Here is my story...”
Thank you Kkat, you have brought back my love of reading that I had thought I had lost long ago.

Re: Chapter 45
As this is in part a love letter to the entire FO:E community it only feel fitting to post it here (or in a different thread if someone has a better location )
Dear Kkat, and to an extent the entire FO:E and brony community.
While I am afraid I can not be as eloquent as Scribejay without sounding cheesy I must express my sincerest gratitude for this phenomenal work. I refuse to refer to this as fanfiction anymore, it has long since transcended that title. This is literature on par with if not exceeding Lord of The Rings, The Foundation Series and A Song Of Ice And Fire. It is a true crime that this will not receive the praise it is due.
Before I go in depth I feel I must apologize for my lacking commentary on the past few chapters, I had pulled an Applebuck Season with my workload (between school, work, NWWWH, Flankorage and numerous proof reading rolls) and couldn't scrape the time together for a proper commentary. While I doubt it was any real blow to the discussions, but I feel obliged to say I’m sorry.
First things first, I don’t know if it was intentional, but it seems that the last few chapters have been so kind to side story writers. The final party’s guest list and invite list were vague enough that other writers could have coterminous heroes take part in the event without disrupting the core story. Leaving RD’s fate as well as the other two elements of harmony leaves so many opportunities.
This is a glorious work and I am afraid my thanks will sound a bit selfish, but bare with me, I’m sure you are getting enough praise on the content so I feel it would be more appropriate to tell you how it affected me. This is what has pushed me into actively participating in the most wonderful sub-fandom of the most pleasant fandom I have ever seen. For this world you have masterfully created I have been driven to learn and developed two crafts that I now truly adore (Vector graphics and narrative writing), receiving more constructive and positive feed back than anything else. On top of that I now have projects such as my Flankorage, Dice Art’s Price of Paradise, The Jack’s Aqua Pura and all the other pieces that I do work on that I truly care enough about to see through with all my ability. I have also met so many wonderful people in this community that it is simply baffling and I would like to think anyway, made more actual friends in the past few months as I have in the rest of my life combined (I don’t normally consider digital relations as worth anything). To put it quite simply, my life is a far better place now, I would even go as far as to say that I am a better person and I owe it all to you, my deepest thanks. Please accept this E-Hug as it is the best I can provide until I get to the tribute comic strip I have planed.
I also must say, probably speaking for all my fellow writers as well, that we all wait with baited breath for your input of some of the practical avalanche of literary works that you have inspired. I hope to see you on Fallout-Equestria.com and the Side Story Compilation Doc if for nothing else than some pleasant conversation with the occasional bout of random hilarity from A Friendly Hobo. If not I will be looking for any work you may do in the future.
Yours: Kashin (A.K.A. Geo-vaga)

One of the things that was awesome about this work is that Kkat could see far enough ahead to be able to include things in the earlier chapters. My brain ain't ever going to be that good!

I would love to see her notes when writing this story, they could probably fill an entire book themselves!otherunicorn wrote:One of the things that was awesome about this work is that Kkat could see far enough ahead to be able to include things in the earlier chapters.
