Hm! Surprising results. I expected the reverse of this.

Mint Jelup is a mare, and honestly the only reason for that is because I felt like writing something that I wasn't used to.

I actually wrote Gears as a male for the same reason. Despite being male myself, most of the characters I have created over the years are female. xD

I never really had any specific reason for making Lemon Frisk male. The whole Daily Unlife story started as silly ghoul-parody of the concept of a pony leaving the trusted safety of the stable, and I hadn't really thought much about it. Though I guess the general concept of "ghoul-with-a-midlife-crisis" was already somewhere in the back of my head, and that just seemed easier to do with a guy.

I picked male because I think it would be easier to write from considering it matches my gender. And Schematic kinda sounds like a boy pony name anyway.

Originally i wasn't sure of gender, everything else was following through nicely then came to mare.
I came to 'mare' because it sorta became 'entwined' with some of the notions, jokes and backstory which i was planning for, but mainly came to two personal intensives which were to work on female main characters as the novels i've been writing have male stars but also have important non-stereotypical women and being a crossover with mlp-fim sorta makes it neccesary (at least in my head) to make a charecter that would draw on some of the qualities the main cast have (including gender)
