A bit about you!

Post by Nightmare Luna » Tue Oct 18, 2011 3:25 pm

So as the title say's just stick down a little bit about yourself! What you like, don't like and utterly hate, whetever you wan't!

Name: Chris
A bit about me: Well gaming in general. I pretty much other than working and doing all the pony stuff I'm either on my PC or my Xbox getting my ass handed to me in online game's. Other than that, music wise I'm kind of in to everything from Queen to Dream Evil and Muse to the Scissor Sister's. And movies, well here I go crazy, I have at last count over 550 DVD's stored away. So I don't even know where to begin with naming a favorite movie, Other than that, i'm your typical 24 year old nerd who has a strange obsession with brightly coloured ponies.

Ok, why not :)

Name: Patrick
Bits about me: I'm a single father of a six-year-old and retail drone that writes code in my spare time because I find it relaxing (weird, I know). I'm not much of a gamer, unless you consider Fallout 3/NV, I do like the Lego series of games and my son has a modded-out Wii with external harddrive. I listen to every type of music, on my phone I have big band, swing, punk, metal, country, dubstep, speedcore, blues, jazz, etc. I rarely watch TV, don't even have cable, but I do catch every episode of FIM when I can and stream shows from Netflix quite often. For movies, I consider Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Fifth Element and Leon in my top 10. Most movies bore the hell out of me though, I can rarely be bothered to sit through a full movie unless I'm watching with someone else. I got into ponies after someone posted a link to this video and I watched it for a laugh. An hour later I had watched it repeatedly, texted the URL to everyone I knew, posted it on Facebook and started hunting down episodes, mainly to see if Twilight really was boozing up in one scene (she was, I love her expression). I created this website after becoming frustrated with how hard it was to keep track of everything that was happening in the world of the Fallout: Equestria fanbase and the image gallery on Equestria Daily was getting out of hand

Nightmare Luna...you're British me.
Name: Also Chris
21 year old nerd.
Fan of metal music (not exclusive, just my favorite) primarily Blind Guardian, Iced Earth and Disturbed.
Favorite Movie: not sure... I have a lot
Favorite (non-pony) show: Firefly
Other Hobbies: Warhammer 40K (model game and Dark Heresy), D&D (2.5, 3.5 and pathfinder), most recently I can add writing and vector ponies to the list.
Personality flaws: More pride (some may say arrogance) than you could shake a stick at and a bad temper.
Yes, my avatar is a shameless plug.
Now with a link.
Operation Flankorage.

The video that got me into MLP was this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJbAT1wzS8U Was playing through StarCraft 2 when I saw it linked on a website, watched it and wen't "What. Is.This?" A hour later I was downloading the entire season.

But oh yes other hobbies, I did the whole 40K thing for about 6 years or so, just kind of stopped. Guess that's what started me on the whole figure making thing. But for RPG's I'm currently in a Warhammer Fantasy game the new system is really good and easy to pick up. If your looking for something new to try Kashin, I would really look into it. But I've done a few other's as well..

Bits about me: I'm 48. I'm well out of the brony demographic - I've been a fan for about 14-15 years. I bought my first ponies at a garage sale over the road. The reason? I also had real live miniature ponies. I'd looked at them on the internet occasionally before that. I remember when G2 came out, and bought a lot of them. Also G3.
Interests: Sci-fi, some manga/anime - I co founded the local anime group back in 1990. Not so interested in anime now though, but obviously still like a good cartoon! I also enjoy doing a bit of 3D art - couple on-line comics, and synthesizers. I'm not a gamer, per se, though have spent many hours playing Wasteland, the forerunner to Fallout, Fallout 1, 2, 3, and the Homeworld trilogy.
I like music with a decent melody, though what I define as decent is a bit esoteric. 99.9% of the stuff on the radio bores me, so I don't listen. I've been enjoying some of these pony remixes though. I have a lot of Mike Oldfield.

Been so long since I played that, it was the game that brought our entire computer programming class to a halt (including the teacher, he's the one who got us hooked) in my high school. Those were some of the best times I ever had in high school.

Hey there, youngster!

I assume you realized the toaster repair comment from three dog refers to Wasteland. Have you ever repaired 4 toasters on the repair table?

I don't think I have, will have to try that. There are a few Wasteland references in New Vegas as well from what I heard, but I never take the perk that shows them.
