I've been dying to get my hands on a physical copy for Fallout Equestria ever since I first found Kkats wonderful story. I have been looking at different methods for doing it myself. Does anyone have a copy of the story that is layed out for print? I'm going to start on this tonight and figured why do two months worth of work if someone already has it ready to go?

I am willing to help start laying out and reformatting the story so we can all take a crack at printing our own copies, or if no one has started why don't a few of us band together to get this knocked out quicker! I know that there has to be a few good designers out there! It would be a great resource to share!

I'm doing a stitched binding where I use about 5 sheets, folded into halves and stitched together with other groups of pages. So, pages are going to need to jump around when printing. I'm still not sure how I'm going to handle it.

I used to have to sort that out when I was doing magazines professionally. Eight pages per side per sheet, I think it was. If you had color on one page, there were 8 others that got it "free".

I was too late for the book project preorder, so I decided to give it a hoof myself.
I took the book project PDFs, resized them for A5 (for use on folded A4) and used the Bookbinder application to rearrange the pages for the "perfect bind" method. Then I folded the pages (this was the tedious and time-consuming part, but I couldn't find a folding machine with good enough precision), aligned them, and held them in place while I glued the back, let it dry, and glued it onto a swath of silk-like fabric. I made a rubber print for the logo and ironed it onto cotton, which I glued to the 1,5 mm cardboard hardcover pieces.
If anyone wants the print files, I can give a link.
It was easier to get a good (though not perfect) result than I expected.
