The Hobbit

Post by Artemiev » Fri Dec 23, 2011 12:06 pm

So we have a trailer here, finally, and I gotta say, this will be brutal. I was awaiting for some dwarven dragonslaying for such a long time now, and this here trailer (and the name of Peter Jackson) is cold-hard evidence that this will be EPIC, without a FAIL.
But COME ON, shoving such awesome stuff in my face, then telling me "december of 2012 lolololol" is just the definition of TROLLING.

Oh, and I just loved how they interpreted the "Over the Misty Mountains Cold" lament. It sent chills down my spine, and if you don't feel at least something remotely similar while listening to dwarves singing about ancient tales and troubles, well... you have issues, bro =P...

Sorry had to get that out of my system...

I cannot wait for this film, it is indeed going to be epic.

My brother was absolutely crazy about that and The Lord of the Rings. If anything, his obsession drove me away from it. I did read the Hobbit, and about half of the Lord of the Rings. I saw the crappy old cartoon version, and have avoided it like the plague ever since! It simply isn't for me.

I actually read The Hobbit when I was a kid, it was the first full length novel I ever read. I guess I would have been around 6 or 7 years old at the time, it was my gateway into literature and I will always be fond of it. I really hope Jackson doesn't screw it up.
