Re: Stable numbers
That would be:
Stable 40 Seal during the Battle for Stalliongrad, 2 years before the end of the war. (Sgt Muffin - Before the End)
Did i make a mistake on the wiki?

Before the End is the story of an officer during the last two years of the war against the zebras. The story follows his journey through the Battle for Shattered Hoof Ridge, Battle of Stalliongrad and into the unknown.
More art, but it is over 200pix high.

I just used Stable 30. Chicacolt: Unopened Stable (residents never made it inside, so it's deserted)

Re: Stable numbers
My fic has effectively been placed on hold until I feel more confident in my writing skills. Also, seems like my 42 gotten taken some where else so I'm just going to strike my 42 from the record. I'll just put another number up later.

Re: Stable numbers
ah, sounds like national stable wide racial ideology, for a stable out in the wastes, makes sense, but if that's going to happen, just make sure to incorporate the already standing examples of mutagenics, the alicorn armies, mutants dadada. good idea, and also, would their end goal be alicorns? or something else entirely?Mysterious Rook wrote:It was to ensure that they be better able to survive the after effects of the bombs.Damhoof wrote:i fail to see how that would improve Equestria but hey to each his own. :3Mysterious Rook wrote:I'll take Stable 8 - Experiments to genetically enhance residents - and 16 please.
Though my background for the Stable isn’t complete yet, I imagine that it would have been one of the first to open. And that because it’s residents are more resistant to the magical radiation, they would have been the ones to clean up the wastes for the rest.
But, as I'm sure you could guess, there was a problem. One problem that wasn’t physiological was that the ponies of the stable began to think of themselves as superior to those of the wastes…

Re: Stable numbers
I'm starting up a side fic and wish to make claim to the #32 (for the time being) under the title 'Renaissance' which is also not made permanent, a question i want to ask is more about 'rule of crossover' so to speak is wither the vault/stable can be labeled as anything other then a number. Otherunicorn's "We're no heroes'' fic slightly deviates with the zero before the single digit, not gonna question 'why' until i've actually read it (thankfully theirs an endless supply of wonder fics to read =D) but wither they can be labeled as anything else like simple military identifications, 'unregistered', dash-letter-marks or 'renamed' for other purposes? Right now im trying to go through the original 1 and 2 fallouts for further clarifications, so would it be 'wrong' of me others to do this? or it simply to far off the usual fan-fic? I would like to know since my fic will be surrounding about things that were MEANT to be kept a secret, both pre-apocalypse and after. because i geuss there were other matters or 'contracts' by vault/stable tec to make these places. thank you and i hope to get answers.
Also, just so we simply don't go in the THOUSANDS of numbers, would it be possible to use numbers that would be otherwise be denoted as 'minor' less criss-crossing stables from other fics? example: if i were to use the number '35' which has already been claimed by someone else but is used in another fic simply as another step on a journey? How are we going to 'keep track' of all these used numbers in the future? would it just be easier on everyone if somebody were to have stable 'regions?' I know i'm thinking a little more then what either kkat or fallout original has done but just something everyone should probably go about trying to pin. thanks, hope for answers!

Re: Stable numbers
Using Stable 72 for FOE PNP Group 2.
/me checks the list. Apparently it's being used.
Dunno which of ours came first, but I can't really change it now.

Re: Stable numbers
This is a list of convenience. It isn't a set of rules. Stable Lab 04 isn't a regular stable. There is also a Stable 4. Not all "underground lockups" were called Vaults in the game either. Some were private affairs, others, military. As for vaults in the Fallout series, see: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vault_Experiment .ChaosMedler wrote:I'm starting up a side fic and wish to make claim to the #32 (for the time being) under the title 'Renaissance' which is also not made permanent, a question i want to ask is more about 'rule of crossover' so to speak is wither the vault/stable can be labeled as anything other then a number. As for keeping track of which stables are used or not, that is the purpose of this list. If you want to see how a stable was used, you have details of the fiction that used it.
Of course, you could just choose to ignore everyone else but Kkat's work. I have only read a few of the other fictions, but apart from not using their stable numbers/place names, and using common substituted terms, I have not let them influence what I write. My ponies will never meet Black Jack, or Hired Gun. They won't even hear about them on the radio. Mine don't even listen to the radio.

Re: Stable numbers
I looked at the list and was relieved Stable 7 wasn't taken, Thank god, I'd have to republish my fics and redo my vector of the main character.
Stable 7 - sealed early by the original Overmare when she found out about the stable experiment. The stable had originally been designed with a sacrificial chamber. She disconected the maneframe and didn't tell anybody about it. Overhaul discovers private messages on her terminal explaining it, and was taken to the chamber after the current overmare accidently reactivated it, blaming him instead.

The equestrian wasteland is total freedom, but with that freedom there's a burden you must carry for the rest of your life. You have to be strong, face your fears and fight for your freedom, because if you don't, the wasteland will tear you apart.
One way or another.
