Sorry I wasn't clearer before, but to all of you interested, this is NOT an IRC game. This is an actual IRL game for the Brony group in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I hate to disappoint, but yeah.

i'm filling out my character sheet, but my knowledge is pretty much limited to the video games so all i really know how to do is distribute my S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat points (i do get five of those, right?) but i've now hit a wall because, while the wiki i'm reading is useful, it doesn't really explain this character creation step by step.

anybody willing to chat with me and walk me through it on Windows Live (slicerness@yahoo.com), or recommend a good guide?

Of course! I don't have Windows Live, but I will be on the IRC chat on the channel #CRBronies most of the day today. Here's a link to it:

not sure if it's needed, but here's my character's stats and backstory.

Name: Bolt
Race: Griffon
Fur Color: Dark Brown and White
Feather Highlights: Dark Orange

S.P.E.C.I.A.L Stats
STR: 6
PER: 7
END: 7
CHA: 2
INT: 6
AGI: 7
LCK: 5

Backstory: Losing his parents at a very young age Bolt grew up alone in a Junk Yard (nicknamed Fort Kickass, since the original name had worn away) a few miles away from a crater that was once a decent sized town. Knowing how to read and write, he passed the time by cataloging any interesting finds he came across in the Yard in a journal and reading any books he could secure from the wandering traders that pass nearby his home. While this may sound like a peaceful existence, this is the Wasteland, and nothing is ever as it appears. The nearby crater, while far enough away to make his place of residence radiation free, was still, like any radiation heavy location, a major creator of both mutated animals and Feral Ghouls. These creatures of never-sated hunger would occasionally venture out and find Fort Awesome. Luckily, by that point Bolt had gotten himself some armaments in the form of a dependable Hunting Rifle and grew very good at taking these creature out at range after learning his lesson the first time. Being so heavy in radiation, the crater both mutates and reinforces the creatures, making them very powerful. It's only through very precise shots can Bolt take them down.

But at the age of 20 Bolt grows bored of his tired routine, and wishes to see the world. Preparing himself some armor from the scrap he's collected he set off with his trusty rifle.

Bolt grew up alone so cares very little for hygiene or his own appearance. He's handsome enough, but with no effort put into looking presentable his appearance isn't great. As if matching this, his social skills are limited to the traders that he exchanges goods with a few times a month so he can be very rough and misunderstand things easily. In trade, his skills with a gun are top notch. His habit of going out and proactively hunting the mutated creatures from the crater have granted him a fine knowledge of how to sneak around his foes. Lastly, his skills with a lockpick are above average due to finding a large amount amount of locked containers in his Yard. He doesn't know how to use most energy or magical technology, but can puzzle it out for himself if needed because of his above average intelligence.

Starting Equipment:

Worn Hunting Rifle
Damage: 23++
Capacity: 6
Range: Long
Weight: 6

Scrap Armor
DT: 4
Weight: 10

Claws: Grants an additional +d10 damage to unarmed attacks.
