Re: [Non-FoE] The Trotting Dead [Fate Core]
Sure. If that works and all. I thought/feared it was a bit too ambiguous. I'll rework it.
Edit: Perhaps instead something like "Work Hard, Party Hard:" Cambiance works when it's time to work, but when it's time to party... It's time to party, or some pony gets a bit cranky. Mechanics wise, Cambiance would gain bonuses to intellectual challenges and decision making, which would turn into penalty if she's been under a lot of high stress situations... Which I realize is also pretty vague. I might just trash this idea altogether. Ugh, sorry for being so difficult. I understand I'm kinda being "that guy" right now. Hehe.

I don't mind. I'm not the GM, but still. It's good that you're being active in the group!

Haha, that's a very positive spin on it XD. I just dislike causing so much fuss.

Dont worry, it's nothing too bad.Tennisdude9993 wrote:Sure. If that works and all. I thought/feared it was a bit too ambiguous. I'll rework it.

Narrowing it to mental challenges could work. You could pick a couple skills from the mental/social ones (Deceive, Empathy, Investigate, Notice, Provoke, Rapport, Urbanism, Will) to use as reference as to when apply the bonus. Aspects are flexible, so it isn't limited to them, it's just some sort of guidelines to know when they are relevant.
We don't use penalties, but it means you might be compelled to indulge yourself instead of working, or to have a brainfart (compels get you a fate point, or you pay one to avoid them)

That sounds like it might make my vague ideas work, if it's acceptable with you. Hehe. I'll look over the skills to see what a good general set may be. Thanks. And on the compel side, that's what I think I would want it to function as, so that's good.LuckyLeaf wrote:Dont worry, it's nothing too bad.Tennisdude9993 wrote:Sure. If that works and all. On that note, don't forget to pick your Skills.
Skills are picked in a pyramid, the highest one worth +4, and the lowest worth +1.
Rolls also add the sum of 4 fudge dice, which can end up anywhere from -4 to +4 (but the most likely result is 0). Simple challenges need you to roll over 0, more difficult tasks being higher.
You can decide to use an aspect after the roll to add +2 to it, you don't need to announce before rolling.
And for your Stunts, they either give you a +2 bonus for specific actions (+2 to burglary only to lockpick doors), or they let you use a skill for something it isn't normally used for (use shoot to shoot of door locks). Special race skills, like unicorn spells, are considered the latter, so you define the special effect you want to do, and roll the Unicorn skill for it.

I will get those picked out later today. And what should I do about my last aspect?
Re: [Non-FoE] The Trotting Dead [Fate Core]
I think to help with integration in the group, we could ask the others to come up with a problem of theirs you could help them with. We could take a bit of time before the session to discuss it better if the others can't come up anything adequate to your character

Cool. Sounds great. Hopefully I haven't derailed us too bad... Haha.
