I'm totally butting in, but I will say I've generally found that systems which split too many skills (Not any at all, too many) only end up punishing skill-based characters which aren't pure combat builds, which are already punished in the base system. My main example being the thief archetype, which already tends to be overloaded on skills (sneak, lockpicking, plus a weapon skill, with unicorns also requiring science and pegasi/zebras requiring survival, and otherwise having the optional skills Speech (gets a thief out of a bad spot without resorting to violence), Explosives (disarming mines/traps), Science (hacking), Survival (poisons), and Barter (fencing stolen goods)). Sure, you'll have less skill overlap, but at the cost of crippling a lot of noncombat character archetypes, especially when you start splitting skills where a character archetype needs to use /both/ uses of it.

My $0.02 on the matter.

(Also ultimately it's the GM's choice what rules to use, so if at the end of the day he understands your point and still says no, then he's free to do so, and the group just isn't a fit for you)

Alright. Char sheet has been updated. Using a standard thing, and i also have a character compilation document to make things easier if we want to use that.

Added a modified KKat document. Check the alchemy section and combat manuvers section. The list of stuff simplifies a few things, and makes stuff more readily apparent.

The time has yet to be determined. So far I've got Sunday 1 PM EST (Monday 7 PM for us europeans) to upwards of 10 PM EST with a break in between or say a 4 hour session at this kind of time.


It's time to get players voting. So far it seems like SAND will be used.

If it's Sundays, I can go till max 23:00 UTC+1 (6 PM EST) and from 29.03.2015 on till max 23:00 UTC+2 (Because of DST.)
If we were to do this on Friday or Saturday, I could stick around longer.

I can make that time, I'm also free saturdays, and I prefer the Sand setting.

Which times would be ideal for you?

My ideal time to start would be around 6:00/18:00 (EST); I could also make Fridays at this time. But, on Saturday or Sunday, I have few qualms about a game around 12:00. Whatever is best for the other players is fine with me.

I have classes Friday that would prevent me from starting earlier than 4:00/16:00, but this is not the case during the weekend.
