I had some ideas to two campaigns by icekatze:
icekatze wrote:The Griffin Campaign:
In a furious surprise attack, the Enclave has declared war on you and everygriffin living above the clouds. Outnumbered, outgunned, with no hope of victory, you have one question; will you find a way to survive, or will you take as many of them with you before you die.
This one I would really love to play. It could just as easily be set during the war. I haven't actually seen any other pre-doomsday campaigns yet.
icekatze wrote:Children of the Goddess:
You are of one mind, one voice, but many bodies. You have given yourself a task, and you must not fail. (If anyone manages to pull this one off, please tell me how.)
I think this would require a LOT of "inner" dialogue between the characters. Which would also require NPCs to act accordingly and the players to act accordingly to them. It can also work with one or two non-alicorns in the group. But I think just being able to communicate telepathically isn't enough. They would also have to share everything else. No secrets or anything. And sometimes the GM might even be able to just force his will on them as an order. Which can be really interesting or really bad, depending on the GM. If this is a given also depends if it is set before or after the death of the goddess.
Actually beginning WITH the goddess and having her die during the campaign can actually be pretty interesting, too. Maybe even let it start that early, that some or all of the player characters get dipped in the first place.
If you manage to have your players first bond with their own characters for one or two sessions, then dip them, then have them play as alicorns for so long that they even almost forget what their initial characters were and then have them live through the death of the goddess, just to have to find their self again afterwards, THEN I think you might have aced that setting as a GM.

I might actually try and pull that off some day. Please, if anyone wants to use that setting, tell me. Depending on the game time, I would love to join this.

I personally think that's a great idea. Though would they have to roll to see what their crime is? Couldn't they be allowed to make their own crime?
The crime would determine the sentence, and how severe. The worse the crime, the more missions/areas they'd have to explore. By rolling to see your crime, the characters have a greater motivation to get through as many as needed as quickly as possible.
But they can't choose exactly "what" crime they did is what I'm asking. To me it just limits being able to create a character's backstory if you can't even choose which crime would suit his or her personality. But again, that's just me.
You could then fit the backstory around the crime. It's not different to "why is this character in this campaign", it also gives the player some freedom to play a character that's a dick if they wish, or to make one that's striving for actual redemption. The game is less about the crime either way, it's just a starting point for all the characters to be together.

I've had some great ideas.

Return to 52:
Five years ago a ghost of the Pre-war world walked along Route 52. Everywhere she went she made friends, allies, and made everywhere a better place. But she faded into obscurity to the point that some be leave she is nothing but a Nightmare Night tale. To make matters worse the 30's (a tribe of raiders from Route 30) are advancing along the Equestrian highway system. The tribes along highway 40 are already under their control and their eyes are now set on the 50's. But despite this the residents along the route from Salt Cube City to Nightmare Falls do not fear. Because some say that the ghost is back. But is she?

The basic idea here was a group of adventures going backwards along the route to fight back the 30's.. Along the way meeting some familiar faces. I was even talking with Mime so that I would have accurate sheets for ponies like Molten Gold and Henrietta. Still want to do this eventually I think it was the greatest idea I had and a great idea for a continuation of my favorite side-story. Also Puppy would appear. But not her the Ppy.Smls AI that Blue and Mrs. voice were making at the end of the story would have escaped the computer and entered a pontectron thinking she really was puppy. So that was a quest was to return her home.

The Burned Flank's:
This one was a bit simpler (originally wasn't even a PnP but a choice driven story). Basically three Mares and three Stallions one of each race wake up from tubes in a stable. Not even really a stable just a bunker. They don't have any marks just a branding of the numbers one-six. The idea was them trying to figure out who they were and what purpose they served.

The Bulletproof Stallion:
Early on in the game the group would face a stallion and he'd seem to die. But later on he comes back. No matter what they do he just keeps coming back. Eventually they'd learn about a pre-war group devoted to using of necromancy to defeat necromancy. They'd meet his old teacher and pick up a few tricks (why one pony would need to be a unicorn or zebra). The whole point was that no magic is evil. It merely depends on the will of who's using it.

A game where the party is going to settle/colonize/establish a completely untamed area, meaning, no established settlements, much more wildlife/plants/weird stuff, and also means gear pro-curation will be much harder and require players to be more creative and to think on their hooves

A settler's game, that sounds awesome! I'd play that.

Mimezinga actually played a campaign as sequel to Pink Eyes, and used the Big 52 as tutorial for his players in that.

Heck... Pink Eyes itself was originally planned out as PnP campaign.

Super Duper Sentai Pony Force: 5 Insane/Totally unwilling Ponies are drafted by some means, weather a scientist or by an outside greater force, into becoming Basically Power Rangers for the wasteland. They would travel the wastes and when entering in a larger battle or something similar, they would transform into their sentai suits, which would grant different benefits depending on the color.

This campaign I would read to hell and back if someone brave enough tried to do it right.

Power Ponies: (Based on the idea of the Cutie Mark Crusaders idea with a superhero twist) A group of foals find an enchanted comic book, however after setting off the book's spell they find themeselves trapped inside. Now inorder to escape, they must take the guise of superheroes, complete the story and prevent the supervillain(s) from escaping out of the comic book and wreaking havoc on Equestria.
